The staff were excellent, throughout the hotel. Handy for the SECC. The carpets in the bar/dining room were in need of replacing. The bathroom was severely needing replacing. The shower tray had a very large crack across the entire tray, which had been sealed with a 'yellow glue'. I felt that we paid too much for what was really a budget hotel.

Liked the location, the bar & restaurant and the friendly staff. Didn't like having to queue for so long before being served at the bar after returning from the secc. Much of the queue was caused by a lack of foreward thinking in the beer cellar department.

2 min walk to the S.E.C.C. conference centre. Noisy, doors shut very loud. Don't use the hotel without earplugs for the night. Continental breakfast offer variation is limited.

Great value for money. Quiet - didn't hear any noise from other rooms which, for a budget hotel, is pretty surprising! Stayed on a Saturday night with our 4 year old son and it was very comfortable. Had a bite to eat in the bar whilst watching football. Decent enough food. Breakfast was ok - well, great considering it was included in the price. Could have done with a wee bit more of a clean (my son pulled a few things out from under the bed when his cars went under there!!). Wouldn't have noticed if he hadn't been there though - what you could see was clean. Bathroom was freezing!

The room was very clean. The staff were very helpful. We were upgraded to full breakfast though we didn't take it we had continental. I would certainly recommend it to friends and family. No negatives.

Have stayed in this hotel before as it was close to the event i was attending at an affordable price with parking. Restaurant menu was a bit basic but what we ordered was fresh, warm and good value for money. Lovely breakfast with plenty of selection. Bar staff were friendly too.

Beds and linens were excellent. Friendly bar staff Location for my business Fire alarm (false) with general manager without any seeming authority. He gave no instructions to re-enter hotel only "I don't knows" with no explanations afterwards. Burned out bulb in bathroom and loose toilet seat on arrival.
