Next to secc Overpriced small portions at dinner. Not value for money certainly. Had to go and buy a meal elsewhere afterwards. Room was scruffy, carpet had stains.

1) We can travel with our pet dog at an additional charge of 5 pounds per night which is reasonable. 2) Budget price - but feels like good value for money (as opposed to cheap) 3) Location 4) friendly cheerful staff who are always very helpful.

The room was very well appointed and the beds really comfortable. Particularly liked the fact that we didn't have to wrestle with an unco-operative shower! Very quick check-in as we had been held up on the road and arrived just at the last minute go to a concert at the SECC. Extremely pleasant receptionist who dealt with the person in front of us in a calm and helpful manner despite their being a language barrier and he had turned up at the wrong Campanile. The only "down" side was the breakfast. Too many people squeezed into the dining area. £8.50 for a quite poor quality cooked breakfast where not even the tea and coffee were served and £6 for a continental breakfast seemed a wee bit steep. If you want to have that many covers to eat at the one time then fresh, hot food needs to be more readily available as does clean cutlery.

The hotel had free parking and good access to trains, though a taxi to the city centre was only £4. An ample breakfast was served at a cost of £8.50 and children go free. Great place to stay if you are going to an event at the SECC or you want to visit the Science Centre. We had an extra bed put up and to be honest there was not really enough room to move about.

Reception staff seemed very helpful and welcoming. Location ideal for SECC. Easy to find from motorway aswell. Hotel was nice enough, basic. The room we stayed in was far too small though! room was tiny - hardly adequate for 2 people let alone trying to squeeze another bed in to classify as a triple room!! Very poor value for money, even at half the price we paid (room only rate)!

Usually a clean and comfortable place to stay close to town centre. No ventilation in bathroom as extractor not working, a problem I had last time I stayed here. Dirty bath towel left in bathroom and no hand towel.

Great welcome from staff, location was fantastic for Clyde Auditorium, bed was comfortable and breakfast was delicious. Great parking too! My mother and I slept in bedroom 008 on Sunday 29th January - although the bedroom was perfectly comfortable and met our needs, the bathroom absolutely STANK of cigarettes!!!!! and it got worse as the evening went on. I actually left the hotel with a cough! At that time, I thought that it was my fault as I hadn't stipulated "non-smoking" in my booking, however, I've now learned that there is no such thing as "smoking" rooms. That, to a non-smoker, is the worst thing to happen. I would encourage you to check out that particular room, I'm not sure if it was the person before us or next door? Such a shame, but otherwise an excellent hotel.

The location is ideal for events at the secc. Very easy to get to and free car parking at hotel a bonus. Staff were very friendly and the room was clean and warm. The hotel bar was very small, having to sit in the dining room to have a drink at night with tables set up for breakfast was not ideal!
