The price is reasonable for what you get. Also the staff are efficient and polite, we requested a room at the back as the hotel is on a main road and this was provided without any questions. I've stayed there twice so far and both times the bed has been pretty worn - you can feel the springs through the mattress.

On arrival I was asked for my card...normal I travel a lot with business.Usually they swipe your card in case you scarper! Fair comment.I explained I would be paying cash to settle my bill and assured that would be OK.When I got halfway home I realised they had taken both and was blithley informed by the manager it would be back in my account in 24 hours.I have had to phone the bank today who should not release the money to Monday (approx 168 hours ) and they have agreed to put it in my account this evening as I needed it.This is not a good procedure.Dinner was a farce, very limited menu...which I can live with, but most things unavailable. My Camenburt came out like soup,I ordered a side saladas the "accompanpients" were unavailable SURPRISE, it would not have fed a guinie pig and the dressing was the diameter of a ten pence piece.Mussels as a main course, over half were in closed shells and I had a bad stomouch all night and next day.Creme brulee one of the best I have had.The staff were excellent. When I went into Restaurant one couple eating fish and chips which waitress kept trying to sell me.two other people came and I waited ages for my meal.....something wrong here breakfast I ate at 7.30 bacon sausages hash brown and bans and mushrooms been under hot light hard and cold and congealed...good fried aggs, and I would not stay here again..Cherryl Harries room 204 Monday 9th Jan

Friendly staff Bar area does not allow for privacy. We got no sleep at all on the first night as it was extremely windy and the fire escape which was outside the building was enclosed with metal sheeting and this rattled and banged all night. The reception moved us on the second night but the wind had died down anyway.

Very nice reception from staff on check in. Food was excellent and it was nice that the chef took an interest in the guests, he came over to ask if everything was to our liking. Nice atmostphere at the hotel, staff on reception went out of his way to explain where the shopping center was, which was very much appreciated. All in all - Excellent customer service. Car park was safe and I could see my car from my room. Free Wi-Fi was a huge help.

Comfortable Beds. Staff were not helpful in the slightest, breakfast was over cooked. I was charged Pre-authorisation on my card when the two rooms booked for my family were not.

I liked free parking , free Wi-Fi, staff are friendly, and the location is in the city center which facilitates shopping and going around the center, Generally, the hotel is a bit old and some of the furniture needs refabrished/changed.

Convenient to Leicester city centre and local major roads. Good parking. Clean and comfotable rooms and smart public areas. Not really happy about the billing system. No itemised bill that showed what we booked, what we were charged for what we ate and how much we actually paid for the room. Not entirely sure that we got the discounted room that we booked via booking.com. All a bit odd. I would still recommend to other travellers, butthey should insist on an itemised bill.

Very friendly staff, who tried their best although it was clear that they were vastly understaffed which could impact on your stay. The hotel is set in the middle of a Somali community housing estate and a very run down area which completely distracts from a modern hotel build. The breakfast was hugely overpriced at £8 per person for an english breakfast! These were extremerly small portions and not of a great quality. The continental breakfast was not much better at £6 per person for a bread roll, some cheese and ham.As a young family we were not prepared to pay £32 for 4 of us to have breakfast. Just 400 yards walk into Leicester centre we found a lovely cafe which served us breakfast for £14 for all 4 of us and there was more than we could eat. We do not recommend that you plan to eat at all at this hotel as it is overpriced and a very low standard. The bar and bar food is the same, £5.75 for a cheese and tomato sandwich!!!! Outrageous rip- off...............

It was convenient. Pretty basic accommodation. Small rooms. Had a sleepless night due to the noise all night from people next door. Thin walls. This is not a complaint, as this was given to Campanile. They at least tried to sort it out but failed.
