Sadly there was no hot water in the morning and I had to wash in freezing cold water. I tried to phone through to reception report this issue twice (at 6.45am) but no answer, instead directed to answerphone. I reported it to reception at breakfast at 7.30am and received no real apology and quite honestly I would have expected some offer of concern or apology in that situation. But instead the member of staff (a junior member) avoided any real expression of concern or apology as I expect she was afraid I would ask for compensation ?

one night stay, found the accommodation to be very smart,clean and comfortable. the facilities were also very good. I liked the fact that the room was self contained..my price was reasonable and the breakfast was also of good standard.. staff very obliging

We were able to take our dog. Staff very helpful. No rush to leave on day of departure due to later time for leaving than stated in most hotels.

The accommodation was clean and adequate for our purpose, which was a two night stay as a base. the room had a good sized bathroom. The staff were friendly and the dining/breakfast room was light and spacious with a good choice of breakfast food.

The location near to a busy road which we heard all through the night. We had a room next to some visiting workmen who on our second night came home at 12.45 am and proceeded to shout and argue, a lot of the time out on the balcony right outside our window. At one point, I felt like calling the police as I thought there was going to be a fight. This meant that we got no sleep that night as the noise didn't stop until 4.30 am in the morning. We felt too intimidated to ask them to be quiet. Should there not be a rule about noise after midnight?

Minor point - lack of instructions for controlling the radiator.

This is a very nicely designed hotel with a unique style and happy to help staff. The room was lovely and comfortable with some nice touches including excellent heating including a bathroom heater and a balcony. Very comfy bed and decent tv and tea and coffee provision. Good location for access as just on a fairly main road which could be a bit noisy but didn't notice it when in the room. Shame I didn't get to sample the steak at the restaurant as meeting friends but break lie was nice although they ran out of fried bread?! Bathroom good - shower was powerful enough but head probably needed replacing, soap and shampoo etc as expected. Great price and overall I really liked it, reminded me of an American motel design and would stay again.

I didnt like 6 dogs that had been tied up on thew car park and started barking at 6am. And continued to bark until we checked out at 9am. I didnt like having no plug socket next to a mirror,so having to do my hair then run back to the mirror to check! No member of staff at the check in desk for us to return our key card. Only one member of staff running reception and the bar, waiting 15minutes for a drink!
