This affordable, modern hotel is just off junction 64 of the A1(M). It has free parking, rooms with private bathrooms, a bar and a restaurant. The Campanile Hotel - Washington has rooms with TVs, telephones, tea/coffee and work desks. Cafè Bistro serves traditional and continental food, affordable dishes and light snacks throughout the day. Excellent location, helpful staff and would stay there again. Campanile are a good standard where ever I go. Pity other more expensive hotels can't be the same and offer free wifi - well done.

The staff were very friendly and helpful . There were only ever 2 staff at a time on reception , bar and serving the food. In my opinion they worked extremely hard and too much was expected of them. However i must mention Marc Dawson who was hard working, polite, friendly and made our stay problem free. Thank you to him and the two ladies who worked with him, Excellent.

The room was large and the bed was comfortable. Parking was very convenient, I didn't have far to carry my bag. I couldn't hear my neighbours so I had a good night's sleep. The shower had a good flow of water but it did take a long time for the hot water to come through. The carpet had several large dark stains, it had obviously seen better days.

Free internet, good english breakfast, very convenient bed Cold as hell (winter time) - you have to turn on the room heater and sleep under second blanket, short menu in restaurant

Our stay was only one night after an 8hr drive to visit family.We found the room a pleasant experience,and had a good night's sleep. The room was exellent value for money,and will certainly book again in the future. No complaints at all.

We found the hotel a pleasure to stay in, the staff were more then helpful all being polite. The hotel its self was clean, friendly, very comfortable,very clean, and our every need was catered for. I can say without conviction if anyone gets the chance to stay at the hotel please take it. You will never regret it

The hotel rooms are basic but perfect for a 2 night stay. The free Wifi worked well. Continental breakfast was good. The food in the evening was also good. I would consider using this hotel again if on business in this area. The heater in the room did not work.

Location (easy to find) Cheap, fairly modern and on site facilities. The heater in my room did not work. The traffic on the a1 can be heard in the room.

Bar closed to early if you have a night porter cant see why couldnt serve wasnt told also meals where bad no menue only paper room menue did not excist had one meal their for 3 days had to eat elsewhere,
