Its a cheap place and you get what you pay for. Good selection for breakfast but its a bit overpriced.

'Double' beds were 2 singles pushed together with a resulting ridge between the two. Decor is old and tired.

The hotel was very clean staff were excellent. the food we had on sat eve was just perfect 4/5/13

didnt like being put on 3rd floor as wife is disabled. we waqsnt told there was no food laid on on a sunday eve after being out all day. and on a Monday morning was told would have to wait for breakfast because of a coach party 6/5/13 my money is as good as theirs.

Clean, comfortable, fairly well equipped room. The food in the restaurant was very good. The staff both in the restaurant and on reception were very friendly.

The bed was very comfortable. The room was excellent for the price.

The food was very overpriced. I had one slice of toast and some melon for breakfast and was charged 8 pounds. I had a scraggy bit of beef for dinner (not medium rare as I had asked for) and paid 15 pounds. Apart from 2 pieces of highly seasoned and cooked tomato, which is more suitable for a breakfast and didnt eat, there was no salad or veg. For 15 pounds, I expected something of a better standard.I Asked for just a bit of lettuce, to which I was told I could take from the buffet free of charge. I found when I returned home that I had been charged 8 pounds for this - some lettuce! I hadnt noticed at the time of checking out as I was too concerned about getting to my job interview in a town that Id never been to before. Your waiter assured me that I would not have to pay! I would very much appreciate a refund. I understand that this is budget friendly accomodation, and the food was the standard expected, however,I didnt expect the food to be so expensive for the standard. Thank you.

Access to friend's house. Perfect accomodation The reception staff was brilliant and sympathetic but did not have any real understanding about how I had been affected by the disturbance.

No consideration ie. complaint form or financial recompense, for being kept awake all night from noisy residents. Given that I had to pay for a room not used because my travelling companion had a family crisis and couldnt be with me the disturbed night was made even more difficult for me as I was too frightened to leave my room.

staff were excellent. Our room was very clean and fresh and the most comfortable bed I've ever been in.

Convenient location when visiting my relative, good value good food at reasonable price, friendly staff.

Quality of decoration could be improved, bathroom a bit shabby with a cracked sink.
