The staff were extremely friendly and welcoming. The continental breakfast was very tasty, and my partner (who upgraded to the cooked breakfast) also enjoyed his. The room was good for the price, and more than adequate for a day or twos stay.
Kettle fitting on the wall was broken.
The location of the hotel is great. The shutters outside really aided the noise from the main road - although there were no instructions on how to lower the shutter. The restaurant was very clean and well presented. The cook on duty at the time of my visit was very polite and friendly.
The power sockets really are an issue. There is 1 Socket available for usage, unless you decide to unplug the TV and then you have another plug - but no TV. The hotel manager was upstairs when I arrived in the reception, and the cook told me he will be down in a second - actually I was stood waiting for 8 minutes for him to check me in - even when he did arrive, he offered no apology, no welcome to the hotel, no information on the hotel - and even worse, sent me to a different room. Told me I was in room No.9 and actually I was in room No.16. Overall, I would think twice about coming back, but I guess you get what you pay for. Maybe the Ibis hotel next time.
Thanks Belinda and Anna. Another Great hassle free stay.
Me and my partner loved the way the facility was laid out, it felt like we had our own little apartment
Bath was small, hairdryer broken hairs in bathroom
receptionist was polite and very helpful. I had a good night sleep room was clean and quiet would stay there again ample parking and right on the doorstep of the town center
Lovely Staff, always helpful, friendly & seems happy in their work. Rooms are comfortable, clean, free WiFi, well heated with good size flat screen tv & tea facilities. Its not the Ritz but then we didn't pay the price! For what we did pay it is very good value & we will keep using the hotel until conditions change.
Most annoying is the huge Advert at Front of Hotel saying - 'From £29 per night Including Continental Breakfast'. We stay 6 visits a year always Mon-Fri for the past 4 years we have always paid £44 per night & had complimentary Continental Breakfast twice in 4 years two years apart which is poor as well as misleading. We prefer honesty even in Advertising. So one lives in hope & live with it !
Location is very good. The staff are always very helpful and friendly. the rooms are comfortable and clean. the breakfasts are very good.
Receptionist very pleasant. Location was good. Decent room for a nights stay.
Its a little dated. For roughly the same price you can get other hotel rooms in the city that are more up to date and modern. But for £37 you cannot complain too much. I would say the walls are a little thin but I suspect we would have heard the couple in the room next door even if the Great Wall of China separated us ha
From arriving, had great customer service from the female at reception - forgot her name :( Very friendly and very cheerful We will definitely be back next time we come to Hull
Nothing - everything was perfect from check in to check out
Nice clean room, secure, good bath shower, nice staff, good breakfast in very nice reteraunt, good check out time , not too early, very good value and location, with easy to use free wi fi. Def return to this hotel
Hotel was nice, cute needed more lighting in the room and plug sockets. Penelope was lovely would stay there when we come again.
The staff were very helpful particularly when I checked in after midnight. It is clean and comfortable, not a five star hotel but a good place to stay if you are on business for one day.
It is on a busy road at a busy junction. The rooms are arranged like a motel with a walkway in front of each room. However the windows do keep most of the sound out.
A few lightbulbs broken or out of order
Staff really friendly Location
Friendly staff, good city-centre location. Very good value for money.
Plenty of hot water. Room warm.
Bathroom basin sink was blocked and slow to empty. I raised this with reception but the problem remained.
Clean room, tv, tea & coffee making and free Wi fi was a real plus. Well situated for the rail & bus stations and shopping.
Hotel could do with a refresh however this is budget price and I guess this may put up the prices. Adequate for a short stop over.
Surprisingly warm & cosy room in mid-December, nice clean bedding, free parking (unlike others in this area)
Intermittent / slow wifi
good location, free parking, free wifi. Friendly over worked staff.
only one member of staff on who had to do check in,run the bar and cook on a saturday night when the hotel was fully booked.
Excellent reception staff - very welcoming and friendly. Facilities on the whole were good, it was nice to be able to make hot drinks in our room.
Not enough power sockets to allow use of computer whilst charging phone, watching tv or making drinks. Shower over bath awkward to use as I have a disability.
Errr not a lot
Nothing was really bad but the rooms didn't even have an electric socket. Basic is an understatement. £40 would have gotten me into travel lodge.
the room was on the inside of the hotel, away from the main road. On the other side it can get very noisy.
food in the - adjoining restaurant was poor, the man on reception was also the chef- and the bar man- doing all jobs at once!
Bed was really comfy. shutters are a great idea.
Room smelt of smoke and no irons.
could not get any sleep at all,the noise from the traffic, police cars, ambulances and people shouting, swearing, screaming till six o'clock in the morning was absolutely terrible even with the metal shutters down, never again.
