Clean room, tv, tea & coffee making and free Wi fi was a real plus. Well situated for the rail & bus stations and shopping.
Hotel could do with a refresh however this is budget price and I guess this may put up the prices. Adequate for a short stop over.
Surprisingly warm & cosy room in mid-December, nice clean bedding, free parking (unlike others in this area)
Intermittent / slow wifi
good location, free parking, free wifi. Friendly over worked staff.
only one member of staff on who had to do check in,run the bar and cook on a saturday night when the hotel was fully booked.
Excellent reception staff - very welcoming and friendly. Facilities on the whole were good, it was nice to be able to make hot drinks in our room.
Not enough power sockets to allow use of computer whilst charging phone, watching tv or making drinks. Shower over bath awkward to use as I have a disability.
Errr not a lot
Nothing was really bad but the rooms didn't even have an electric socket. Basic is an understatement. £40 would have gotten me into travel lodge.
the room was on the inside of the hotel, away from the main road. On the other side it can get very noisy.
food in the - adjoining restaurant was poor, the man on reception was also the chef- and the bar man- doing all jobs at once!
Bed was really comfy. shutters are a great idea.
Room smelt of smoke and no irons.
could not get any sleep at all,the noise from the traffic, police cars, ambulances and people shouting, swearing, screaming till six o'clock in the morning was absolutely terrible even with the metal shutters down, never again.
Friendly, helpful staff. Cleanliness. Parking on site.
Close to the City centre & the late check out allowed an extra lay-in in the morning
I didn't like the pro's that was in the room next door with people turning up at every hour of the night and blood in the bathroom
Value for money. Convenient for city shopping & evening out
Had to cross extremely busy & dangerous road to get to hotel
Campanile Hotels are what they are. This looks very tired & a little depressing from the outside, but inside is really all you want & represents good value for money & we will definitely stay again. We would like a special mention for Belinda who seems to do nearly everything going here! She is amazing, so helpful & friendly....thanks so much to her!
There is only one plug socket in the rooms. When this is needed for the tv, then if you have a couple of things to charge for work, this isn't ideal.
Location and staff
Location, service and staff all excellent.
quiet, clean, comfortable room -good wi fi- good breakfast- convenient restaurant on site- easy parking in city centre location- very cheerful staff- excellent value for money
the rooms were good compfy bed, nice and clean ,staff very friendly in a central location,it was lovely and warm too cannot fault it really.parking was good parked right outside our room.
nothing enjoyed our stay and if we were to go to hull again we would stay again.
Aftre reading other reviews, I was a bit aprehensive, however I needn't have been. Yes, the rooms are dated, however spotlessly clean, warm and comfortable. Our party consisted of a toddler, parents and grandparents. There was a cot for the toddler, which was of a good standard, very clean and safe to use. Continental breakfast was perfect for all of us. I MUST mention the girl that attended to us throughout our stay. I didn't take her name, but she was lovely. Would not hesitate to go back....bonus is the parking on site too.
Only gripe I have is that we could feel the springs through the mattress, but still managed a comfortable nights sleep.
Cost mostly, but also the location. The breakfast was very good for the money.
I found the mattress a bit soft, however the lady wife thought it was fine.
Noisy guest in adjoining room but otherwise everything else was satisfactory.Staff very friendly and helpful.
Good car parking ....good staff....room as advertised
the receptionist Anna was very friendly and helpful.
it was too basic. no complementary toiletries, the room was exceptionally small, especially for a larger person. The bedding was spotless but the room itself looked as if it needed a face lift and the large hole above the shower definitely put me off using it.
Only one power point. Had to go out and buy multi point lead to charge phones and I-pods. It was a twin room with nowhere to store clothes for 2 people.
