I have stayed there a few times and every time has been a bad experience the staff are rude and the rooms were filthy and no towels dirty sheets and bedding it was disgusting and cleaners walking into your room while your undressed
Hotel was superb in every way loads of free parking rooms were very clean and all came with tea and coffee / hand soap and shower gel. The beds were so comfortable and shower was really powerful and love the midday checkout . Breakfast in the hotel restaurant is extra but really nice. In my opinion the reviews I have read so far are people who like to moan I only paid £35 for my twin room and it represented fantastic value for money I will definitely stay at this hotel again. 10/10
Unlike other reviews if I paid a lot more for this hotel then I would do my best to find something wrong but I can't .
Comfortable bed. Warm room - when heating went off during the morning (we were getting ready to go out) the staff switched it on again straight away. Very good value.
Rather basic. No choice regarding cooked breakfast - we had baked beans on our plate which we hate. They did leave them off by request the next day.
It was old the main building was outside cold /rain/snow and ice to negotiate. It was up to flights of steep stairs. Would not stay here again
Location close to railway station. Freshly cooked breakfast.
Room is ready for refurb.
The welcome of the staff , the continental breakfast the room was very clean and tidy could do with better heating apart from that excellent
Room needs sockets next to the bed , mattress could be a bit firmer ,
Good parking, nice restaurant convenient location
Whole place was rather dilapidated and needed updating but for the price, very worthwhile
Early morning rise and get away from there
Whole thing, felt like a (cheap) version of butlins, door did not feel secure, noises all night, and got a bit worried when we found there were shutters on the windows, don't know if it was to keep us in or rogues out
We have stayed here last year as my partners family live in Runcorn. As it is reasonable and we only use it to sleep in its ideal.
This time round the toilet didn't flush properly and the sink was blocked.
pleasant staff very good breakfast quick accesss to WiFi relaxed atmosphere
We only stayed one night ,Bed was was great i think king size ?
The bathroom could do with some maintenance
Bed was fine Good Location for travel
Free WiFi? I didn't trust it an unsecured network anyone can use, bath is very small. A £20 pre authorisation was taken from me on arrival, I had to ring up three days later to get this back as they 'forgot' to do it. Room could do with re paint (ceiling was flaking in the bathroom)
The single beds were really comfortable and the room/bathroom were clean. TV worked and tea/coffee was provided in the roof
We had to walk up two flights of concrete, almost outside, stairs and then along an outside corridor to get to our room. Would have been fine on a pleasant summers day but it was cold, wet and windy. Breakfast room was full of acrid smoke
There was on site parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was convenient being halfway between Liverpool & Manchester. The railway was only a 2 minute walk away.
The wifi was very poor or not working.
The bed was comfortable -ish.
Stained walls and lamps. Dirty walls. Unclean mugs. Poor lighting. Not enough towels. Sink tap ran on to sink edge and not in to the sink. Shower head wouldn't stay up. Staff didn't ask how our stay was. We were woken up twice in the night by a drunken party of men banging on the door.
The staff were friendly enough, they allowed us to check in earlier than 2pm close to railway station
The rooms are basic and very tired looking the heating was not working in the room so it was chilly it was more like a holiday camp chalet you have to go out side to access rooms we decided not to purchase breakfast there as When we went in to the main reception area to check out the guy cooking at the other end of the reception was cooking and ran down to us to check us out so after dealing with us went straight back to cooking eggs
Room warm and clean. thought it might be noisey as close to road but slept very well and not woken at all by traffic noise. Good choice of foods for the continental breakfast. Would use this hotel again.
pillows very soft and only 3 of them.suppose could have asked for more. Lots of stairs to carry luggage up when given a room on the 2nd floor,no lift. Room although clean was dreary, could have done with being painted a brighter more cheerful colour. Needed to be in bar/reception/restaurant to get good wi-fi connection.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast, free newspapers in restaurant
Rooms good shower lovely breakfast included in price was a bonus and cooked us lovely vegetarian breakfast
Not a good area very noisy people shouting and banging on doors in early hours
Friendly staff Food was lovely Close to train station Quiet location
WiFi connectivity was atrocious in the room.
great staff great location clean room
no plug sockets in room
The man at desk was lovely so helpful would definitely stay again bedroom basic but comfortable beds
clean, comfortable and good value for money
only one plug socket in the room for the tv and any devices you need charging! luckily i took an extention cable with me!
This was a cheap, clean and convenient motel room. Cheap in the sense that it was the lowest rate I could find online.
Depressing and unattractive. Subsistence-level breakfast. The whole experience was pretty uninspiring.
Didnt like the tiny ironing board
