pleasant staff very good breakfast quick accesss to WiFi relaxed atmosphere
We only stayed one night ,Bed was was great i think king size ?
The bathroom could do with some maintenance
Bed was fine Good Location for travel
Free WiFi? I didn't trust it an unsecured network anyone can use, bath is very small. A £20 pre authorisation was taken from me on arrival, I had to ring up three days later to get this back as they 'forgot' to do it. Room could do with re paint (ceiling was flaking in the bathroom)
The single beds were really comfortable and the room/bathroom were clean. TV worked and tea/coffee was provided in the roof
We had to walk up two flights of concrete, almost outside, stairs and then along an outside corridor to get to our room. Would have been fine on a pleasant summers day but it was cold, wet and windy. Breakfast room was full of acrid smoke
There was on site parking. The staff were friendly and helpful. It was convenient being halfway between Liverpool & Manchester. The railway was only a 2 minute walk away.
The wifi was very poor or not working.
The bed was comfortable -ish.
Stained walls and lamps. Dirty walls. Unclean mugs. Poor lighting. Not enough towels. Sink tap ran on to sink edge and not in to the sink. Shower head wouldn't stay up. Staff didn't ask how our stay was. We were woken up twice in the night by a drunken party of men banging on the door.
The staff were friendly enough, they allowed us to check in earlier than 2pm close to railway station
The rooms are basic and very tired looking the heating was not working in the room so it was chilly it was more like a holiday camp chalet you have to go out side to access rooms we decided not to purchase breakfast there as When we went in to the main reception area to check out the guy cooking at the other end of the reception was cooking and ran down to us to check us out so after dealing with us went straight back to cooking eggs
Room warm and clean. thought it might be noisey as close to road but slept very well and not woken at all by traffic noise. Good choice of foods for the continental breakfast. Would use this hotel again.
pillows very soft and only 3 of them.suppose could have asked for more. Lots of stairs to carry luggage up when given a room on the 2nd floor,no lift. Room although clean was dreary, could have done with being painted a brighter more cheerful colour. Needed to be in bar/reception/restaurant to get good wi-fi connection.
Very friendly, helpful staff. Excellent freshly cooked breakfast, free newspapers in restaurant
Rooms good shower lovely breakfast included in price was a bonus and cooked us lovely vegetarian breakfast
Not a good area very noisy people shouting and banging on doors in early hours
Friendly staff Food was lovely Close to train station Quiet location
WiFi connectivity was atrocious in the room.
great staff great location clean room
no plug sockets in room
The man at desk was lovely so helpful would definitely stay again bedroom basic but comfortable beds
clean, comfortable and good value for money
only one plug socket in the room for the tv and any devices you need charging! luckily i took an extention cable with me!
This was a cheap, clean and convenient motel room. Cheap in the sense that it was the lowest rate I could find online.
Depressing and unattractive. Subsistence-level breakfast. The whole experience was pretty uninspiring.
Didnt like the tiny ironing board
Upon arriving early I spent approx one hour in the reception/bar area and it soon became apparent that the breakfast service area could have benefited from a deep clean and the whole area was dank and dated. The accommodation "BLOCK" was just that..a block on the landscape..it too was very dated and clearly is in need of an urgent update. The room had what appeared to be beer stains from ceiling to floor upon one wall (I noticed this in the following morning having opened the curtains to allow natural light in). The room was "nicotine brown" and even the table lampshade had very old beer/nicotine stains. The bathroom was very clean aesthetically but as to what was lying within the chipped enamel in the bath and the missing tile grouting/silicone in other areas I just don't want to think about it hence a quick wash and out of it. Overall, it was very poor and it begs the question as to what hotel inspectors do let alone the hotels senior management. Yes it was cheep, but if I ever get stuck for a place to stay in that area I will not be tempted to go back to the Campanile.
Although the beds were relatively clean the carpets were damp & dirty. The milk containers to go with the tea were lumpy and out of date. The bath/shower was yellow with mould, the lamps on the wall were hanging upside down when I walked into the room & the walls are paper thin. Would I pay £55 to sleep in a single bed here again? No chance.
location comfy bed
small room leaks in bathroom - stains on bathroom ceiling noisy as hear eveyone walking past imagine rooms could be quite cold in the winter
Staff could not be friendlier or more helpful. Spotlessly clean room. Excellent value.
Tricky location to find even on a Sat Nav! Could the Campanile start doing just one gluten-free cereal or meal on the menu?
Rooms very tired and dated. In need of decorating throughout. No plug sockets for any electrical appliances not even able to charge mobile phone unacceptable in this day and age. Very noisy till early hours.
very near center of runcorn, and near widness just over the bridge, very friendly staff, gud nite sleep
room fairly basic but very clean,
The chap on reception (he doubled as breakfast cook) couldn't have been more helpful. The hotel rooms look tired, but are very clean & OK for a short stay.
The only socket in the room powers the TV so you cannot charge anything. Apparently, there are some extension leads available via reception but we found out too late.
This hotel was at a bargain price, v handily located for the Mersey bridge. Pleasant room, although the hotel is in an old fashioned style.
