Score from 284 reviews Good
there was a strong urinal smell throughout the room and the outside . Not enough plug sockets
The room was dirty and the toilet did not flush. There were no towels and the kettle was broken. The hotel is cheap but I would expect some basic standards to be maintained which they were not.
.the room was in desperate need of a good clean up. There was dust and cobwebs especially on the corner lights. The bathroom also in need of attention had a cracked toilet bowl and mould in the grouting
Don't know why this has such bad reviews on trip advisor. We arrived late from Scotland, checking in was fast and all the facilities were explained to us. We managed to get parked right outside the door, the room was warm, clean very comfortable! We both had a great night sleep in the huge bed! The bathroom was clean, I had a great shower in the morning! Everything was fab, could not complain about anything!!
Nothing to complain about!
Comfortable bed, clean bedding, lovely breakfast.
Not very warm in room, took ages to warm up.No seperate shower, had to stand in bath. Not enough coffee, milk and sugar but got more when I asked.
Restaurant was too busy.
Good value if you just need a bed for the night. The breakfast was good and the staff were friendly. Although the overall quality was basic the bed was comfortable.
There were only two real issues with the room that you wouldn't expect even at the basic level: the carpet had seen better days and should be replaced given the level of staining (don't walk bare foot!) and the sink plug did not fit the plug hole (minor point but annoying if you want a shave or wash).
The hotel was cheap and had rooms available for the night required.
Was dirty, spider webs all over the room Staff member told me they had a spider problem Very outdated. Nothing like the pictures Didn't stay, money refunded Would not of stayed if it was free Would definitely not recommend
Dirty room , broken sink , broken mirror , broken door
Vile, dirty, smelly. Stains on the walls. (Query urine)Nothing at all to like about this horrible place. The worst place I have stayed. Yes it is reasonably cheap but you can stay at much nicer places for the same money.
Everything room was untidy beds were terrible we ended up walking out of it we couldn't sleep there was a terrible smell toilet was leaking
It was clean, but basic. Beds comfortable but too soft for my liking (when you turned over you felt you were going to bounce out!). Close enough to the town centre for a short taxi ride. Staff friendly both on arrival and departure. Close to M1 for travelling.
Location - at the end of an industrial estate. The look of the hotel is dated. Tea and coffee facilities left a lot to be desired - there were 2 of us but only enough for 1 person (including cups!). Not enough towels for showers.
Price was good, tv channels
The hotel room was very very dirty. I walked around the room with socks and they were filled with dust and web's as if it has never been hovered. The hotel room was not clean at all. The person at reception was snobby and threw the card on the desk instead of putting in a plastic card with room number. The service was appalling. I was not impressed. The prices are excellent but room needs to be cleaned. I stay at other campanile all the time but the heavy man at staff needs to brush up his customer service skills and look more presentable.
Excellent location, although a little hard to find in the industrial estate. The staff were all very helpful, with a good room having everything you would want for your stay. TV, Kettle, Good hot shower & bath, Comfortable Bed and Blockout Shutter that helps keep the noise down. All finished off with an excellent breakfast!!
Rooms look a bit dated, and could do with a refresh. Better signage would have made finding the place easier. Web advertisement didn't highlight the convenience and amenities the place has.
The guy on reception was very welcoming and pleasant. Good free wifi connection.
The walls were a little thin and other guests' noise was audible. The whole place was a bit tired, but I just needed sleep, not frills, and it was a lot cheaper than other options.
Friendliness and helpfulness of the staff Excellent value for money
The phone needed a bit of a scrub
Comfortable bed, good clean bathroom, parking plenty.breakfast was good.
Although the decor was in good order it could actually do with updating, wood chip wallpaper and pine woodwork.
large room, double glazing and double entry area to the room to keep out any noise. clean except for a couple of spiders. Restaurant staff friendly
dated, but you get what you pay for. clean enough
Booking in was done efficiently and although I had concerns about location I had a comfortable night. The bar and restaurant facilities were clean and suitable for the rooms.
There was a shortage of power points but it was not too much of an inconvenience.
Booked this hotel room on line and unfortunately non refundable. The car park smelled heavily of urine and the rooms looked in such bad repair from the outside we chose not to stay there. I would not be recommending this hotel to anyone.
The price and the free WiFi were good
The room was small, dirty and dated. the bed (very large) was lumpy and more like a trampoline than anything else - no support and with springs that dug in to your ribs!
Excellent breakfast, both full English and cold buffet style. Excellent coffee. Reasonably priced food in restaurant. Parking is very good and conveniently right by the rooms.
i did not like anything
the hotel is tired, very dirty and in need of modernisiation, the room was very tired, furniture uncomfortable, carpet shabby, top of the heater and skirting board hand not been cleaned for months, my bat towel was black the first night, i would have polished my car with this, the walls had black marks, holes in walls, very dissapointed, i would not even feed my cat in that room, and the only reason i staid is i did not have the time to look for something else, but know i have for the following four months. if you like cheap and not bothered, then its ok, if you work away from home and expect standards, this is not it,, very dissapointed and will be requiring a refund, very poor accomodation!!
Good value for the money if you're seeking a clean, comfortable bed with a decent flat screen tv. Staff helpful and attentive.
A bit dated property that could use a bit of paint here and there but the rooms are nice.
