Fab value for money and what more can you expect for £60 per night which includes a massive cooked breakfast . Great food and mega friendly staff. Room very comfy and tidy only needs a few little minor things done but none worth saying about. A little road noise from our room could do with better windows. The shower was pathetic but it did work ok.

Obviously this hotel is in the process of renovating. Decor in the resturant was beautiful, rustic feel continue with the work it will be outstanding. Staff were great. Food excellent!!! Would recommend others to use the resturant!!! If the work continues I would recommend others to stay at Cannards. Ensuite 1 Windows are a main issue. Need to be addressed urgently. Not fitted correctly. The wind and traffic was too much. Curtains need to be hung up correctly Blackout blinds recommended. Bath not big enough for adult.

The facilities were acceptable, breakfast terrific and the staff, excellently laid back. These southerners don't know how to make a proper cup of tea!

The staff were incredibly friendly, the food very good and good value for money. There was a great choice of ciders and dogs were welcome with no resrictions on where they were allowed to go! There was a heater in my room which warmed the room up quickly. No good walks from the hotel, but then that's not their fault. The different flavoured air fresheners in each corner on each floor were a little overwhelming, I'd rather have had the stale or musty air!

Location to the showground, on the main route. Staff seemed unfriendly to visitors, favouring the locals. Landlord very unfriendly, and found myself locked out at 11.45pm. i had to ring the landlord to gain access, and he was quite put out that I had rung him. Will not be going there again, and suggest people look elsewhere. ie next door.

Food was excellent Room was not clean, on suit was older than me! Did not sleep all night from the noise of the passing traffic on the whole a very unpleasant experience and I believe I should be re-embirsed for misleading me to book this hotel.

The staff were extremely friendly and the atmosphere was relaxed and laid back. The food was excellent, breakfast was whatever you wanted and plentiful. The room was spacious and the beds were very comfortable. The bathroom wasn't cleaned during the stay and we ran out of toilet paper and had to use our own tissues.

the dining area was quite pleasant Room much too noisy with the traffic outside, with windows open or shut, also could hear the t.v's in other rooms. Rooms were a bit scruffy and tired, had to ask for face towels as they were not replaced, bin in room not emptied, breakfast not that good, always had to ask for orange juice, and glasses and mugs were not clean.

Warm welcome from the owner on arrival and at breakfast the staff were very flexible and helpful. Hotel was very convenient for my visit to Kilver Court. Wasn't able to sleep in the early hours of the morning as there was a constant humming noise [such as a boiler?].

.The manager Jim was friendly. The noise factor due to constant traffic was unacceptable. If the window remained closed the room was stuffy. We should have been warned of this factor. The food whilst adequate tended to be unappetisig and to serve beverages in mugs is tantmount to a Transport Cafe. The general cleanliness of the premiss left much to be desired. Dirt was evident around the bar floor including the glazed well which should be a feature. The tables had greasy marks on the edges. The stair carpet was frayed on the vertical edges.

Very friendly welcome, friendly amenable staff. Good standard of food freshly prepared and served (this means that there can be a wait when odering an evening meal) This delay did not apply to breakfast. Hotel is rather tired and the refurb that is in progress in needed. We were going to a wedding which was a five minute drive away, so location was excellent. We would stay there again, ideal as a base for exploring the area.
