Canary Wharf Serviced Apartments - Millharbour  

The apartment was modern and well equipped with a good service from the service staff

The only thing that lets it down is the unfinished ground floor area. More could be done to finish the building.

It was an amazing stay. A very nice view on Canary Wharf and cozy atmosphere, everything you need to enjoy London City.

The Location took a bit of time to find. Confusing between the 'west' and 'east' apartment.

Apartment was great, good location.

The check out was really earlie.

beds were of cheap quality and tvs were outdated and just one time cleaning before arrival-at least it should be every three days

The apartments were clean and modern, with complete kitchen and wifi and washing machine/drier, drying rack and everything you needed to keep the apartment clean if you needed to. It felt like more like home than a hotel and was slightly cheaper. They provided some coffee packets, bottled water etc which was a nice touch, that I did not expect from a serviced apartment.

I stayed at one place and left for the weekend (did not hold the apartment). I was told that I would be staying in a difference apartment building that happened to be a bit further from Canary Wharf when I came back. At first I was upset, however it was only a minute further and the second place was bigger than the first so cannot really complain. Wish there were more flexibility about arrival times and someone to hold your stuff if you arrive early, but I was able to leave my stuff at the office where I was working so at least for me it worked out fine.

We got an upgrade (which we were told about by phone the day before arrival) from Millharbour to Discovery Dock, flat 27. Which was really such a dissappointment. We had to wait until 23:50 pm on day of arrival for access fob for parking area, as well as a portable heater because the heating system didn't work (while it was snowing outside and we had 2 very young children- 5 week old baby and a 2.5 year old toddler) The microwave was dark brown underneath the glass plate.. Do not know if it was dirt or rust- I have never seen a microwave in such a bad state- this was replaced only on our last day (we stayed for 3 nights, because we were moving house and wanted some peace for our children while the move was happening- but this was everything but peaceful) There was also a wooden bit which connected the flooring between the hallway and the lounge area which was totally loose and made us and our toddler trip almost everytime we went passed it. This was only fixed late afternoon on the second day. This was truly the worst stay, and we expected so much more for the money we paid. More than £100 per night. No refund was given and we even had to pay extra for the parking.. Apartment living area was very dark- no light in the room except some standing lamps.

Location

I have asked for earlier check in only to learn I had to pay extra £15 per hour, ended paying the whole extra day. Asked for extra blanket and towels but that had to be paid extra as well. There is no place to store your luggage when you arrive earlier or want to leave later. The flat was facing the building site from where you could here noise during the day. The lock of the entry door to the building was faulty causing the major security threat. During our stay an unannounced inspection of the flat took place wasting our valuable time.

Everything was really fantastic. The apartment was luxurious, fantastic view, very well equipped, very warm and cozy. I really felt like I was at home! It was a fantastic stay. I have been to London seceral times, but I can guarantee I will always stay at these apartments from now on. Staff were perfect and aleays paying attention to all details to keep me and my family satisfied.

The only less positive situation I think I can point out is that the pictures on booking do not favor at all, seeing what we get is much better. They can do a better job with that. Otherwise than that, 5 star!!

Cleaning

Loved the beds and the decor and the layout.

Overall we were incredibly disappointed that it was never mentioned that our room was over a very noisy construction site. Also all of the soap dispensers, salt and peppers were out and the drier did not work. The welcome letter had the wrong name. Can someone please contact me to discuss further.

Great location just a short walk from South Quay station on the DLR or better still you can walk over a footbridge straight to Canary Wharf station and pick up the Jubilee Line. The accommodation was very comfortable with everything you would expect in a self serviced apartment.

Compliments to every staff member at Portland Apartments - from Reception/Bookings to the maintenance team who assisted us with the central heating - by far the most helpful and friendliest service we ever experienced in London. The apartment itself was well fitted out for a two week stay with two decent sized double rooms, two good bathrooms, and all the necessities to make it a home away from home, with an easy (and safe) walk to Canary Wharf.

The apartment was brilliant. Top floor, two bedrooms, two bathrooms, huge balcony with Canary Wharf skyline view. New and shiny, very clean, kitchen had all the necessary cookware. Five minute walk to South Quay dlr, ten minute walk to Canary Wharf - great for doing business in the area or trips to more touristy areas on Jubilee tube.

It would be a good idea to stock the kitchen with pantry basics like salt, pepper, and oil, also some cleaning supplies. The beds are only doubles (but this is England, so par for the course). There's a construction area adjacent to the building, but windows are well insulated, and you can't hear any noise.

wonderful~~~！the staff are kind and helpful, the apartment, the equipment, the design, the location, everything is so wonderful! My parents like to cook by themselves they like the kitchen so much. I will definitely recommend it to my friends

Good location for O2. Nice apartment. Near supermarket which was handy.

The staff were very friendly. The apartment was clean and comfortable. We had an apartment with a balcony with views over the Thames which made the stay perfect and has ensured that we'll stay again!

There was only 1 minor point- the kitchen didn't have a frying pan but otherwise it was stocked very well.

The apartments were a good size - two double bedrooms plus lounge and kitchen and two bathrooms. Excellent and very clean.

New apartment. Good location. Nice kitchen. Very clean n tidy. Tesco express nearby. The best apartment i have ever stayed. Highly recommended to all of you.

We got exactly what we wanted: a well equipped apartment, in a quiet environment, free WiFi, 5 minutes from Canary Wharf business center. There is no permanent staff in the building, but we were contacted several times to make sure there was someone to hand over the keys when we arrived.

it was nice and clean and fairly quiet also spacious.

Brilliant - great value for money, loved our stay, staff were friendly and helpful - we would definitely stay again, and I have already recommended to friends and family.
