We liked the quiet, clean, comfortable, peaceful accommodation and it's location so near the cathedral. Continue to keep this more of a spiritual retreat place than a typical "hotel" to maintain its ambience. We also loved the architecture and design of the rooms and the lovely breakfast room.

Breakfast. Location. Free entry to Cathedral. Quiet. Room rate was a bit high. Very soft mattresses gave me extreme back ache the first night. No heat in room even though it was cold and rainy. It was May, but heat should have been back on. Room was extremely cold one day.

The setting is incomparable, the standard of construction extremely high, and the staff could not have been better. It really was very good indeed, in every department. The man in the next room to ours was disturbed by our television, when we did not have the sound turned up particularly high. We were not disturbed by neighbours ourselves, but it may be that the sound-proofing of the building is not as good as it might be, despite the recent construction of the building and its high specification.

The location is second to none. We had stayed at the Abode on the High Street the night before and it simply does not compare. It is peaceful and serene and a wonderful escape from the school groups and crowds that dominate the city centre. Looking out of the bedroom window at the Cathedral on a spring evening while birds sing - cannot beat it. One of my favourite hotels. Not much information given by the staff about on site facilities.

Ambience welcoming, delightful situation, peaceful, quiet, safe, comfortable, attractive modern tasteful hotel, good breakfast, attentive friendly staff, pleasant surroundings, in the centre of busy town by beautiful historic cathedral but no hassle or noise. The fact that the television could be heard in the next room. My fault, being rather deaf I turned it up too loud early Sunday morning and woke the neighbours. Perhaps the T.V. Could be relocated or a discrete note posted for the insensitive such as myself.
