Score from 326 reviews Very good
Spacious accommodation with every facility. Plenty of car parking room.
Needed more tea/milk/sugar supplies in room - only enough for one! Food could have been more varied.
Room clean, bed ok, just a shower - but a good one. Breakfast mediocre. Straight beside A2 so very convenient which is probably why it's well used and in places looking tired e.g. Threadbare carpets in places. Oh, and parking is good.
In a place where there's no mobile phone signal and no 3G. So on a business trip I felt quite isolated. Hotel wifi thus oversubscribed and very slow.
1.Staff & Cleanliness of Hotel. 2. Convienent for Canterbury. 3. Reasonable choice of Main Course Dinners - staff willing to go that little bit extra to please customers.
1. Hotel is difficult to access from Northbound side of A2. 2. Some rooms suffer from Traffic noise (we asked to change rooms - staff very accommodating). 3. The size of some Desert portions (Cheesecake) were more suitable for mousetrap bait.
Staff were very friendly and helpful
Toilet was dirty with faecal staines under seat. Bed sheets were stained. Cobwebs in the extractor fan in bathroom.
Good position ideal for trip to Canterbury. Good clean comfortable. Nice to get breakfast at this price.
clean and comfortable room friendly personel
restaurant and bar
The location was excellent for our short drive to the port of Dover for ferry crossing to France. Also a excellent breakfast.
Very close to Dover ferries
This the 2nd HIE I have stopped in that is hidden away behind a petrol station on a busy dual carriageway with very poor signage for thr hotel.
The whole experience from Arriva to departure.
Not having bacon on the breakfast buffet.
It was all we hoped for and needed.
Arriving from the direction of Canterbury, we found the hotel very hard to find.
Very easy onward journey to Calais, plus close to Canterbury.
I cannot praise the staff highly enough neither can I fault anything about our stay. I would definitely stay there again and would recommend to business colleagues as well as family/friends who might be passing through.
Location to destination Comfortable bed
Traffic noise Guest noise through bedroom wall Older building /facilities Smell in bedroom of plugged in airfreshner Breakfast not nearly as good as other Hoilday Inn experiences
The food in the restaurant was good and reasonably priced. Comfortable beds. Reasonably priced hotel compared to hotels in Dover.
The noise from the motorway was very loud all night.
not a lot
Breakfast poor, location given not in village, situated on main Road A2.
Staff and service were excellent. The breakfast was also really good . Room was clean and bedding pristine.
Pillows!!!! The pillows were hard and unyielding. I had a stiff neck and gave up in the end getting up at 4.30am and having a read to pass the time.
price was cheapest in area Breakfast included Staff were nice parking on site room was adequate and reasonable dinner was available
On the A2 makes it slightly noisey and not in town No access easily from road going north - not easy to get to It was not super clean and smelt in corridors seemed the staff were over worked though they were lovely considering the place was full and not enough room for everyone Wifi was practically none existent though 'free' rooms have thin walls between rooms seemed very faded
The proximity to the ferry port
Rooms stuffy & hot
Clean modern building with restaurant in house.
Traffic noise during night from adjacent main road.
The hotel was easy to find and accessibility good. The rooms were well appointed and clean and all staff extremely helpful and pleasant . We were en route to Dover and this was an excellent position for an early morning start if crossing the channel.
Cleanliness and comfortable
poor access ,entrance not signposted very well without sat nav we would have missed it.Also not much choice on menu
The cleanliness and very friendly staff when checking in and out, one name I remember in particular for his manners and welcome was Melwyn, you should be proud to have this chap on your staff
shortage of restaurant staff at dinner, with the chef having to actually serve the meal he had prepared. and having go for our own cutlery after the meal was served. in saying this the staff we did met were excellent.
