Good all round The locatie very good, but coming from dover to be , warned about the turning off to dunkurke would have shaved us alot of time and petrol. This would be good for everybody if you explain the route on your print out. Other than that it was and excellent stay.myriame bowler.belgium

really enjoyed our stay. found the staff to be friendly, helpful and reapectful of our needs. our room was comfortable we had a double room with a sofa bed which gave us more room. the hotel was easy to locate and even though it was on a major highway the traffic noise was negligible. breakfast was good and an evening meal was available if needed. we would have no hesitation recommending this hotel.

After the inital shock of arriving through the garage, we were very pleased with the hotel. The rooms were very clean & functional, the (free) breakfast was fine, if a little busy! The lounge/coffee area was handy for meeting up with friends The location! We were surprised that the entrance is actually through the petrol station; our friends spent some time going up & down the A2 trying to find the entrance! The signage really needs looking at, to make it more clear.

Hotel staff were friendly and helpful. The room was a good size and clean. There was no road noise. Breakfasts were hearty. Difficulty in accessing the Hotel from the motorway as it was located at a service centre away from an immediate off ramp. It was difficult to locate it on the GPS. It needs more definitive instructions of how to get there on its advertising and brochure.

Room was clean, tidy and comfortable. Bathroom was nice with a good shower. The hotel is just a short drive away from Canterbury town centre and very reasonably priced compared to most of the hotels in town.

Clean, comfortable and minimall fuss checking in. Restaurant. Food etc. poked away in one corner. Congestion when numerous people decide to come down to breakfast at the same time. A road map for locating the Hotel when approaching from the south would have been appreciated.

Convenient for visiting Canterbury. Good value with breakfast included. Bedding poor quality and duvets too thin with no spare blankets. Extra duvets grudgingly supplied after repeated requests.

My friend and I liked everything. It is the first time we'd stayed at an Holiday Inn Express and were very impressed. The rooms were excellent, we were able to adjust the room temperature. We had supper which was served quickly and was not only delicious but a reasonable price. The continental breakfast included hot food too which was most appreciated.

We enjoyed our stay very much and its convenience to Canterbury was good. The Signage to the Hotel from the a2 could be improved but this did not pose a Problem to us because we used a gps and had studied the position on Google Earth before departing on our journeyFor Motorists travelling from the London direction watch out for the Texaco Fuel station on the left and turn into the forecourt the entrance to the Hotel is at the rear. Nice quite place to stay.

Nice clean hotel with good attentive staff. Good lounge area and nice rooms, not large but large enough First class breakfast much much more than a simple continental....5 star and bar prices were reasonable too. I was charged for my 'free' wi fi why???????????? Reception had no explanation hid behind 'company rules' If you advertise free wi fi you should ensure it is free to all your guests. And when asking for password at that point you should be told there is a charge not 24 hours later.....a con or a mistake!!!!!!! The lighting in the room was so complicated as to which switch operated which light even the staff were confused it looked like the wiring circuit had been designed by a committee of chimpanzees.

Clean, with a comfortable bed. I pre-booked the Holiday Inn Canterbury, for myself and my elderly mother, in order to get a good night's sleep after a 14 hour drive across France. We arrived after midnight and despite being the only guests at reception, check-in was painfully slow. Shortly after 6am an alarm sounded. I now know this to have been the fire alarm. Assuming it to be a fire alarm, we dressed and left the room. No members of staff could be found. If the hotel has an internal PA system it was not used. The emergency exit signs appeared inconsistent and then disappeared as we approached the last corridor before reception. At this point the alarm ceased. I could not find a member of staff to explain the situation or give reassurance. With no evidence of fire, we returned to our room. Later, I asked the duty manager to explain what had happened. She said that kitchen staff had failed to properly ventilate cooking fumes, triggering the fire alarm. There had been no fire or risk of fire. I told her that the failure to communicate to guests during the alarm had been negligent and potentially dangerous and pointed out that kitchen staff should be competent at managing their workspace. My good night's sleep - the sole purpose of my stay - had been reduced to less than five hours. I found the duty manager to be unsympathetic and generally unhelpful. She told me that there had only been one member of staff on duty and I should not have expected to have been told what was going on either during or after the fire alert. She said that she was unable to offer any kind of recompense and that I would have to contact her manager who "was on holiday" - and was handed his card. I am deeply concerned at what seems to me to be a low level of competence and concern for the safety and welfare of guests and very unhappy at the apparent disregard for my loss of a full night's sleep.

room comfortable and clean. Buffet breakfast excellent choice available As others have commented, we missed the turning to the hotel (the holiday Inn sign is rather small) and had to travel several miles before we could turn back. A comment on the hotel's website that the hotel is located within the services area which is clearly marked would result in less stress locating the hotel.
