In quaint gardens, The Victoria Hotel features traditional home-cooked food and free Wi-Fi. The hotel is a 15-minute walk from Canterbury center, and just under a mile from Canterbury Cathedral.
Score from 788 reviews Good
Located within a 5-minute walk of the world-famous Canterbury Cathedral, the Premier Inn Canterbury City Centre has modern accommodations with Wi-Fi.
Score from 374 reviews Excellent
Just feet from Canterbury’s medieval West Gate, this charming building dates back to 1403. A former coaching inn, it offers free Wi-Fi and free parking, a short walk from the center of the city.
Score from 1005 reviews Very good
Less than 3 miles from the historic centre of Canterbury, this luxury B&B enjoys a rural setting within its own oak woodland.
Score from 298 reviews Wonderful
The place has no soul, it's a glorified shed. The bar is a shelf, behind which are night staff who are either never there or have no wish to interact with guests. To say I felt unwelcome wouldn't be far from the truth. I stay in hotels all over thru work, and I won't be staying there again.
The room was spacious, bed comfortable, however was staying in a room adapted for disabilities, toilet etc. The free breakfast had a good variety in which to choose from. Staff very friendly and helpful!
Wifi was terrible. Wasn't always a member of staff at the reception which was annoying because you had to wait until someone came.
Very clean and 10 mins drive to Canterbury city centre had a lovely stay here
The staff were friendly
Breakfast very poor, the food looked like it had been sitting out a week. Restaurant area was very unappealing. WiFi was awful, impossible to do any work.
Having a bar and restaurant on site also good value thank you
Car park - lots of sausages at breakfast
Access from one side of main road only - not really a problem
Friendly relaxed atmosphere for an easy overnight stay
Staff so friendly and helpful
Dinner service very slow
Needed directions for getting to hotel across the dual carriageway from the direction of Canterbury.
Warm Welcome polite Good Food Attentive Service
Room cold when initially going into bed room
Excellent value for money. Modern, clean, comfortable, good location close to Canterbury, plentiful secure parking spaces, helpful staff.
Cooked breakfast items were a tad on the cold side and the wifi was nothing short of pathetic.
Very friendly and efficient staff.
Staff were friendly and polite, the hotel was clean and tidy, booking in on arrival very simple and straightforward. Reasonably quiet given the location
Difficult to find, drove by a couple of times looking for the entrance, hiding behind the service station!! Bed was too soft and the shower curtain only just reached the tray, if not careful then water escaped into the bathroom. Breakfast was a buffet affair, all the cold items were fine as you would expect but the hot food was a different story with watery scrambled egg and rubbery sausages of the poorest quality.
friendly staff, full hot breakfast included, good internet connection, free parking on site, gas station next door.
noise from the motorway next to the hotel.
Staff friendly, room clean and bed comfortable. Very quiet hotel. We stayed an extra night. Breakfast was reasonable too - good value we thought.
Free wifi is a bit of a pain. Two devices per person and you have to pick up a ticket for it each day... it would be so much better if it were just free, without the hassle.
Room was a bit small but this is a budget hotel. Restaurant meals very good as was the breakfast (included in price) - excellent value
Wifi incredibly slow and non existent at some times. The signing for the hotel if possible should be nearer the entrance to the Services, you cannot see the hotel as it is behind a fence.
the price and whay you get for the price iv been there twice now and i will be back, thank you
this time nothing i was away from the main road and slept like a log
value for money, parking, vareity of choices in food ,well thought out, good layout of hotel, location ,
only one way in on dual carrigeway but only a minor detail, could have put grit or something down in slopeing carpark as it was very icey early morning
Excellent staff Very clean Comfortable bed/extra pillows Coffee making Great breakfast Good evening meal in restaurant
No phone signal No Internet
Staff are courteous and efficient. Cooked breakfast is free. Rooms provide all you need for a visit to Canterbury. Anything you forgot to pack is offered on a complimentary basis.
Easy to locate and handy for Caterbury. Colimentary breakfast was just right. The surprise dancing entertainment by some of the guests made an interesting diversion
Bed was a little uncomfortable
Everything is fine
Most things good
Breakfast was a it of a bun fight with lack of choices, but for the price we paid it was ok
Great welcome.Lots of free parking.Shop and filling station next door. Decor very good and although it was frosty outside it was really warm and comfortable in the common areas and in the rooms. Rooms were spacious, well furnished, clean and comfortable. WiFi was very good and if you need toiletries they are available in reception. breakfast was top class. If visiting Canterbury you will need a car. Overall we are happy to recommend this hotel and we intend to stay there again on my next visit.
Daily room service and pleasant staff. But I wouldn't stay again, guess I was spoiled by the Vic in Sheffield. Didn't realise that express meant just that. Ana we paid more for it. Quite upsetting to find that the couple next to us had booked only two weeks ago for £75.00. When the room I booked was classed as only one room left at £106.00
Toilet door. Jammed my fingers. No bath. Awful English breakfast only consisted of baked beans, scrambled egg and sausage. same on all days, I hate beans a scram eggs, no other choice of cooked food.Terribly noisy on the front next to entrance. n to notified that it was on the main road and was difficult to access on the return journey.
