The room was cosy and felt like home. The location is beautiful, you are surrounded by countryside, and only a few minutes away from the centre of Wokingham. The service was great and very friendly. We didn't know about the beauty therapy rooms before we had arrived. I would have used it had I known. I wish I could have stayed longer!

Cantley House is a gorgeous building with bags of character and (when I stayed) blissfully quiet. There is an ongoing refurb programme, with completed areas finished to a high standard; the owners' love for the building is apparent. Staff were efficient, friendly and approachable and the room well stocked with fluffy towels, robes, and the usual tea/coffee iron etc. The public areas, while cosy, lack sparkle.

The food in the restaurant was excellent. The TV in the room was positioned in such a way that it was impossible to view easily from most of the room.

Thru web site we were charged excellent room rate for very comfortable bedroom in main house (first visit we stayed in the Clocktower) extremely relaxing sitting room set in lovely gardens. Great breakfast & wonderful location. Our friends, 2 other couples also stayed the weekend & were full of praise for Cantley Hall Hotels. As we have good friends in Wokingham, it certainly will not be our last visit.

room was stunning. Food in restauant was excellent although a bit pricey. Was kept awake Sunday night by loud music from a restaurant. Had to phone reception to ask that it be turned down. Staff in restaurant not as good as I might have expected from such a restaurant

I liked being woken up at 8.30 am by a tanoy telling people where to go for the half marathon (not really, this is sarcasm). There was no warning of this at any point from any of the staff. We had problems with our booking, the hotel claimed that we had booked for the previous night, the email from booking.com proved otherwise. The room was old, shabby and dirty. The bathroom had paint peeling off the walls, the shower was useless and I've never seen cloudy water coming out of a hot tap before! In fact we decided to have a shower when we got home rather than risk the potentially contaminated hot water. Avoid room 29!

The House is lovely and I loved my room - #9. Got a massage, the your lady wasn't very experienced, she didn't connect with muscles, only the skin layer - needs more training and experience. ' I ate ate Milton's many times and would have liked some variation in the menu, or specials. I don't understand why WiFi can't be made available throughout the hotel, nor why my room could not access outside lines in this day and age.

Set in Excellent grounds Room was basic I was at my company xmas party and I found the food was average, service was slow and poor as they were stretched due to having another function going on in the hotel on the same evening ( Thats what one of your waitresses informed us as to why everything was so slow) I wasnt paying for this meal but if I was I would of complained, my partners vegetarian dish was very poor
