Capernwray House  

lovely house in a lovely location. the hosts were very friendly and helpful providing tea/biscuits/cake in the lounge late afternoon. nothing was too much trouble for them.

The owners were realy nice and friendly, and the rooms were fantastic, beatifully decorated and furnished. The food was of a very high standard. I would recomend the Capernwray to anyone who would like to stay near the lake District.

We were made very welcome in spite of arriving before the official check- in time and given tea and biscuits in the lounge. Our room had plenty of space for all the bags we carry with us when we go away and was beautifully furnished and spotless. The bed was very comfortable and the full English breakfast followed by home-made damson jam was delightful. The car park is spacious and is surrounded by open fields with the mountains of the Lake Distict visible in the distance.

Friendly family atmosphere. Beautifully clean and well decorated room.

My wife and I were travelling with her mother to see her nephew married in the area. We had a very warm welcome with a lovely cup of tea and biscuits after travelling all morning. The owners couldn't have been more friendly and were extremely helpful when we asked how to get to the church in Morecambe. We were very comfortable and would certainly recommend Capernwray House to others.

This was our second stay at Capernwray House which we used to break our journey from Scotland to Wales. It is beautifully situated in quiet countryside, but still a short distance from the m6. We had a different bedroom which was again large and comfortable and our hosts were friendly and helpful.

Capernwray House is a superb guest house with large and comfortable bedrooms and a beautiful guest lounge. The owners are friendly and helpful.

This was a brilliant, very welcoming guest house. The location could not have more suitable for getting too and from various locations, close to the motorway but far enough to be idyllic. The first impressions were exceptional - grounds outside were extremely well cared for and the ambience when entering the house was friendly and homely. A welcoming drink was just what we needed after a long day. The standard and cleanliness of the whole property was of a very high standard. Highly recommended. Thank you very much Roy and Mel. Very friendly hosts and relaxing atmosphere in lovely settings.

From the moment we walked through the door we were made to feel comfortable and at home. The attention from the owners was second to none with a tea/coffee/biscuit tray being supplied in the comfortable lounge as soon as we arrived. Spacious, clean and well designed bedroom with a superb breakfast. The attention to detail is excellent, and the hosts willing to provide venues for evening meals etc. We would recommend this establishment to anybody with no reservations.

This is the cleanest guest house/hotel I have stayed in for many years. The standard of cleanliness throughout was outstanding from the shared areas to the bedrooms. The decor was extremely well maintained and the furnishings were of good quality. The hosts could not have been friendlier or more helpful, but were not at all intrusive. I have no crticisms at all of the accommdation and would definitely stay there again and recommend it wholeheartedly to my colleagues and friends. What a find!

This was the very best guest house we have ever stayed in. Right from the start of our holiday the welcome we recived from Roy & Mel was wonderful. The room was fabulous and the breakfast was very nice. We are already planning another stay at Capernwray House and will definately recommend to al our friends.

Siamo arrivati in auto alle 9 di sera senza aver cenato; l'unica soluzione che abbiamo avuto e' stata quella di riprendere l'auto e andare ad un take-away cinese a circa 7 km. Sarebbe opportuno che la descrizione della struttura indicasse chiaramente che non e' possibile cenare in zona se si arriva dopo le 8-8:30 pm.

The best hotel i've stayed in, beautiful room, friendly staff, great breakfast and very clean.
