The Capital  

Lovely small townhouse hotel in prime spot in Knightsbridge. Helpful staff & comfortable. Excellent breakfast.

This is a quiet, discreet hotel in a fabulous location. The staff are excellent and very helpful.

The rooms feel a little cramped (too much furniture in a small space perhaps?)

good location, good restaurant and bar, nice style

rooms are small and very old fashioned

The location was excellent for my requirement, which was the main priority for me and whilst in the heart of Knightsbridge, no problems with noise at all during our 4 night stay. Staff are courteous and mostly efficient.

No tea/coffee making facility in the room and no mineral water provided in the room. Disappointing for a "luxury" hotel. After we asked for water an ice bucket of mineral water bottles was placed by the main entrance daily. One usable electrical socket in our Executive double room, which was barely close enough to the mirror on the wardrobe door for my partner to use the hairdryer. There was no socket near the dressing table/desk. The hotel is part of the Small Luxury Hotels chain but having to squeeze sideways between a chair and the bed to get into bed is a bit too small. I spend a lot of time in 5* hotels worldwide and this room did not meet the standard of luxury in my opinion.

We were dissapointed with the old bathrooms and toilets which had seperate cold and hot water fauccits which was difficult to use and impractical . also the location of the toilet seats next to the walls made it difficult to use the toilets . The shower was old and in need of renovation . Being a member of Small Luxury hotels of the world , we expected the hotel to have better bathroom facilities . We reduced our stay to one night instead of four and moved to another hotel which costed more .

Met name de locatie is perfect, gelegen tussen Harvey Nichols en Harrods.

Het ontbijt is niet van het niveau dat je van een 5 sterren hotel verwacht. Een paar afbakbroodjes en weinig beleg. Wel op verzoek eieren e.d. geserveerd gekregen.

De locatie is perfect voor de fantastische shop-gelegenheden die London te bieden heeft. Ook de afternoon tea is geweldig!

Wat mij tegenviel waren de kranen, warm en koud water gescheiden, beetje achterhaald voor een Hotel als the Capital.
