historic elegance hidden away. great italian food in a very homely environment
The bedroom was absolutely gorgeous. Stunning décor and full of character. The staff were amazingly friendly and helpful and the food in the restaurant in the evening was delicious as was the breakfast.
I would visit again there was nothing I didn't like.
Beautiful bedroom, 4 poster bed, stunning features in keeping with the period of the house. Lovely breakfast & lovely staff. Would definitely recommend it.
The host was extremely helpful when we arrived as we were in hurry to attend a wedding - very kind to my elderly mother which I really appreciated Really friendly service Rooms (all 3 booked) were lovely & everything was of a particularly high standard... Very nice toiletries too
Nothing really - location not fabulous but very handy for us as at wedding at Prestwold Hall. Breakfast lady was lovely but would have liked a menu to choose from - English breakfast a bit greasy but I am quite fussy!!!
Personal service, nice room, good breakfast
No desk to work at.
Every member of staff was very friendly and accommodating. The food was incredible. The room was very spacious and clean.
everything food and accomodation first class
A quiet location on the edge of the city. We will be returning as my daughter is in Loughborough University. The menu for the restaurant on the ground floor looked great and we plan to eat there on our next visit. It's one of the oldest buildings in Loughborough and the exposed beams and old fireplaces made the hotel full of character
The room was beautiful! Loads of space, loads of character...Four poster bed, roll top bath etc etc with everything you could want. Much better than expected!
Very friendly and helpful staff with a great restaurant, a spacious room with bags of character.
Gorgeous room, friendly staff, great service, outstanding food and just about perfect experience. Impossible to fault Caravelli, will definitely be back!
The character of the rooms
Room was decorated well/traditional, bed comfortable, bathroom immaculate. Food in restaurant of a very high standard and fairly priced. Staff and owner extremely lovely.
Breakfast area was dark and too quiet, would like to have had some fresh fruit offered.
Personal service Fantastic room Food in restaurant excellent
Would have liked some yoghurt/fresh fruit available for breakfast
Lovely comfortable room. Lovely decoration with exposed beams and a king sized bed The staff were very friendly. Breakfast was good and hearty. Loved to coffee
Friendly staff. Nice food
Noisy when staff left at closing time and early morning when deliveries were made
Large room, comfortable bed and excellent breakfast.
Beautiful room although not really for the solo business traveller. Food is OK but nothing special.
The location and surrounding area not good
Room was lovely - very nicely decorated. & also very clean
Breakfast times rather early, finished serving at 9am on a Saturday! Also no fruit at breakfast nor a menu.
Bruno and Allison headed up a very friendly team. Delicious meal if a tad on the large side - none of us could manage a dessert!! Both of the rooms we booked were very comfy and décor very tasteful.
Can't think of anything that we didn't like :)
Great room couldn't fault anything very friendly staff and will definetly be back
Bedroom furnishings were high quality, bed itself was very comfortable, the atmosphere of the room was very calming. We loved the old beams!
Room lovely, overlooking church. Restaurant downstairs food delicious Italian with fun atmosphere. Location excellent for Ferrara experience and shopping! Thank you
The location to the town was fine. The bedroom was unique, clean & comfortable. The staff were very pleasant & helpful. The room rate was good but because of the things we did not like it is hard to recommend to other travellers, it may not bother other people but it did spoil our stay.
Our stay was scheduled for Friday, Saturday & Sunday nights. Noise from the restaurant below, people waiting for taxi's on departure at the end of the evening dining & the passing people from the pubs nearby was the biggest let down. It was after 2:30am before we were able to get off to sleep. Toilet for the downstairs restaurant was on the same landing as the entrance to the rooms. A code lock on the door to the passage to the sleeping accommodation would give more security. Because of the above, we sadly checked out after one night of our 3 night stay as we did not want another interrupted night with very little sleep.
