This is a friendly hotel in an outstanding location for beach activities. Standards were all you would expect from a four star hotel although parking can get a little tight at times. The Corbis Bay Hotel was a real find and I would thoroughly recommend it.

The view was fantastic, the bed was super comfortable. The car park could use some white lines. It was a bit of a free for all out there, and we got blocked in.

The location It was not value for money. The rooms were very small and our room overlooked the railway line at the back of the hotel. We had no balcony or view at all.It was not relaxing as you could hear everything from the next room and hear poeple walking past your door to get to their rooms. Not the stay we expected at all.

The view from outside. After booking a room two months in advance we found ourselves in room 101 overlooking the roof under the hotel sign with train running behind room. We travelled sixteen thousand miles to celebrate a milestone in ourlives and were immensely disappointed. This hotel is really geared to Wedding Functions and not travelling tourists who just seemed to be a bother to the staff.

Bathrooms, service, food were excellent. A perfect position on the beach. Beautiful views. Public sections very well designed. Loved the Conservatory. Very clean, warm ( November visit) and well-maintained. Outdoor pool looked good. Wi- fi in rooms would have been useful. No lift.

Only stayed for one night to celebrate my other half's 50th birthday. Sadly the lovely sunny weather we enjoyed early in April broke the day we left for Carbis but we had a thoroughly lovely stay, Our room was clean and comfy and looked over the gardens over which the train made its way over the viaduct from St Erth to St Ives - lovely. Staff were friendly, dinner and breakfast in the restaurant was of high quality and we did get to stroll across the beautiful private beach in the morning before we left. Think we arrived in the middle of a "Saga week" which made a couple of very young at heart 50 year olds seem like a couple of teenagers!!!!

The "olden" day, victorian building.. the history of the place, made it a great place to stay.. the food was very good together with the service.. it's postion on the beach, where we saw a couple of seals, wonderful... Notification of any special offers from the Carbis Bay Hotel would be appreciated.... The lack of a lift was a concern... most of the guests were over retirement age and you could see some struggling a bit!

Situated on Carbis Bay, a beautiful beach for our long walks. The bar food was pricey, but enjoyable to sit in Conservatory.

Staff were friendly and helpful. A beautiful location for a short break or a longer holiday getting to know Cornwall. Would very much like to take older relatives for a short break, but not possible as the hotel does not have a lift. Food in restaurant was rather disappointing

I liked its position, the view of the Bay, the friendly staff, the good bed! No lift made it quite hard for "mature" guests.

Queens Hotel
Situated in St Ives, less than 10 minutes’ walk from the harbour and pier, this hotel has free Wi-Fi. It also offers a gastro pub, decorated with local artwork and serving a wide range of food.
Very good, 8.5
Score from 46 reviews
“We throughly enjoyed our short stay at the Queens Hotel, it was friendly but not overpowering, the room was large and nicely furnished and the bathroom was large and was a bit unusual as the floor sloped slighty, what you expect in an old building. Food was excellent especially the choice of the evening meals available. ” Stephen, Bristol |
