De Vere Hotel Carden Park Golf Resort Spa  

Good location in countryside and close to Chester city centre. Rooms were comfortable and we enjoyed the spa. David the hotel concierge was great and very helpful.

The hotel is busy and we found it difficult to get tables at the times we wanted. Reception staff on check in were not helpful and allocated an inappropriate room with no apology. In general staff were fine but both the bar and restaurant staff lacked experience and service was at times dodgy but not intentionally.

To access the room was a series of stairs and walks.

The Hotel was very modern and good style. The Staff were excellent especially in the dining room

I was disappointed at the final bill. They had charged me for 2 evening meals and a bottle of wine which we never had. Having said that it was corrected but don't see how it was ever put ont he bill in the first place

Rooms are spacious and very comfortable. Have stayed in this hotel many times and always find everything to a high standard. Nice quiet location (no traffic noise). Breakfast is lovely with a very varied choice.

The towels had holes in and the fire alarm (which was very loud) went off at 2am and then again at 3am for no reason

Everything. The staff and service at the hotel was excellent. The food was first class, would highly recommend. What a pleasant stay!

On booking in, there were no tables available at the restraunt nor the Bistro until after 9.00pm which was late to have a meal. We ordered a meal to be delivered to our room. When it arrived the food was cold and we telephoned reception. After another wait the food was taken away and another meal delivered, this too was not pipping hot.

Spacious Hotel. Comfortable Rooms and pleasant public areas. Food was good and staff friendly

Plumbing sometimes a bit noisy. Hotel a long walk from the main road - very long driveway through the Golf Course

Even better than I imagined. My wife had used the spa on three occaisions but we had never stayed. This was a reunion weekend for 73 people 40 years on from Uni. Brilliant organisation by hotel. All needs smoothlycatered for. No complaints.

The hotel offers lots of family facilities and the quad rooms are ideal.

The service was not great. The activities we had pre booked for the children were cancelled with no suitable alternative offered. For this hotel service should be everything at it is clearly not.

Location was main reason for booking this hotel and price seemed reasonable.
