Cardiff Hotel5-9 Norfolk Sqaure, Paddington, Paddington, W2 1RU London (Show map) Good, Score from 594 reviews“The staff was extremely helpful and courteous. Cardiff is conveniently located near the Paddington train station.”

This friendly B&B-hotel is just minutes from Hyde Park and near to Oxford Street for shopping. Paddington Station is very close and has links to Heathrow Airport. The well-located Cardiff Hotel is on a quiet, tree-lined square within easy reach of Madame Tussauds. There are convenient Underground (subway) and bus lines to the West End theaters, Wembley Stadium, the museums, Harrods and more. The Cardiff Hotel has been run by the Davies family for 40 years. Most rooms have private bathrooms and some rooms have lovely views over Norfolk Square and its garden. English breakfast is available in the morning. Hotel Rooms: 60

The location , as we came up from Plymouth into Paddington Station. The Hotel was across the road and a hundred yards further on. We were out every day touring or seeing shows, bus travel was great as we were above ground, so could take in the views . Furthest we travelled was to the Arsenal. Two buses but no problems. The only downside was we could not find the remote for the t v so the handyman came , lifted up the bed and asked me if I could see it, which I could so I retrived it .But under the bed had not been vacuumed for some considerable time . If the remote had been checked before the guests arrived under the bed would not of been seen !!!! I did point this out to the handyman.

The Cardiff Hotel was clean, friendly and very well located (a short walk from Paddington Underground and Main Line stations). The staff were pleasant and attentive. I would definitely stay there again. We were located on the third floor, and there didn't appear to be a lift available.

The location was good and the staff was okay. The hotel room was the smallest I have ever been in. It smelled, the carpets were very old and stained and there was a stain on the shower curtain. The room was very hot and the window faced out into an alley about 10 feet directly across from another rooms window. The walls were paper thin and it was very hard to sleep due to the noise at all hours. I would not recommend this hotel unless you can't afford to stay at a nicer place.

The location was perfect, it took me 3 minutes to reach subway station and 5 minutes to reach to railway sitation which has a direct access to airport. The internet connection could became weak. Also, there is no elevator, which does not consist any problem for me, but it could be a problem for those who did not like or could not make it through the higher levels.

The beds were very comfortable and the breakfast excellent. The location is perfect for getting round london, either by bus (No 23 to Trafalgar square) or tube, and taxis are everywhere in that area. It's just a five minute walk to Hyde Park/Kensington gardens and there are lots of shops, pubs and retaurants all around Paddington. The room we had could have done with some shelves (there is not room for a wardrobe) to put on t shirts, underwear etc but, that said we were satisfied with the rooms cleanliness. Well done.

The friendliness of the staff and the location. When we arrived, we were shown directly to our room and it was exactly what we had ordered. On checking out, we asked for directions and the receptionist was only too helpful to oblige.

Excellent location just next to Paddington station. Although I chose a room with no attached bathroom I was pleasantly surprised that it was a private bathroom one floor up so it wasn't an issue for me. Breakfast, although the same every day was great value with juice, cereal and yoghurt buffet spread and a single serve of eggs, bacon, sausage, baked beans and tomatoes. Very hearty start to the day. Would not hesitate to stay there on my next trip. Room can be a bit small though should not be an issue if you are used to Japan-size rooms. Was a little surprised when I returned one day and found that the cleaning person had not closed my room door properly. Thankfully, I had locked my luggage as per normal and nothing was taken. I believe it was just one minor oversight in an otherwise great stay. Internet was free but kind of broke down the last two days of my stay.

the room was a box room very cramped for space. the decoration was of a substandard quality and the bedding rather dated. The so called famous breakfast was lacking in quality and substance. The whole experience was one we will not want to repeat

The location for our trip was ideal. The room was uncomfortably hot and had no air conditioning, the small cooling fan provided was not sufficient. The breakfast was not up standard.

The staff were delightful and helpful. The rooms were clean and well serviced each day. The breakfast was good value. Having to climb 3 floors with heavy luggage. We are an older couple. We were given help on arrival. Hallway carpets threadbare in places. Bathroom very small. Would have liked to have a face cloth supplied with the bathroom towels.

Extremely friendly staff. On the night we arrived, our "neighbors" we're completely drunk (4 old ladies...) and doing lots of noise, but the staff promptly helped us. Breakfast is not bad. And location, location, location.. Beds are old and rooms are not very comfortable, very hot too (though they gave us a small fan). Our room had a nice view for another wall. Bathroom is very small.

The location is very convenient to Paddington Station and from there you can access all of London. I would have liked a little variety in the breakfast. The "full English breakfast" was only fair to begin with and after 4 or 5 days of it I would have really appreciated a little more choice.

Great location, friendly staff The smallest ever room and bathroom size I've ever seen in the 3 stars category. Great workout to climb up to the third floor with the luggages without a lift.

location is perfect, free wi-fi no lift, the hotel is very old, bathroom wasn't too clean, no toiletries except for a small brick of cheapest soap, shower is so small you can hardly squeeze in, no place to put your own toiletries.. when we entered the room it smelled really bad, we tried to open the window to get some fresh air in, seems like we were first to try in a very long time
