The staff were very pleasant and helpful. The room (a single) was small but sufficient for my needs. |

It was convenient to the tube and train. The square in front gave it a friendly feeling; less traffic. Staff was VERY friendly and helpful. The food was good--and plenty of it. The bathroom was clean. I liked the convenience of the extra toilet in the hall. Even though we checked out at 10:30 a.m. we were able to leave our luggage until later. The bed was very uncomfortable--sagged in the middle. The carpet needed a power vacuuming. |

Great location, less than 5 mins from Paddington Tube station, quiet enough area. Helpful staff. Single rooms are on the 4th floor and there is no lift. Room got very very hot (there was a fan but it was not working - they might have changed it if I had asked). Very small bathroom, shower was powerful but the water didn't go down well. |

The staff were helpful and very friendly, hotel clean and location fantastic for a short trip to london when time is scarce. We asked for a second key and despite a promise on the first day that we would get it within half hour, we didnt get it for 3 days! Our only room key wasvery difficult to use and kept getting stuck in the locks. |

The proximity to Paddington Station is brilliant & access to bus, train, Hyde Park is the best. The breakfast was excellent. The staff were friendly & helpful. No Lift - miles of stairs with heavy bags or at the end of a busy day is painful. Like all cheaper hotels in London, the rooms are microscopic & bathrooms even smaller. |

Mini Fridge The air outlets/inlets above the bed headboards in the room were rather clogged up with winter debris. |

I liked it was only a couple blocks from Paddington Station. This was very convenient! I even cancelled a reservation at a much nicer hotel for my return trip because of this fact. I also like the view of the park and street. The staff, especially the Polish waitress was very nice. The room I had on my first stay was very tiny. It was also up several floors with no elevator. This may be expected in an older hotel or pension, just be forewarned if stairs are a challenge to you. |

Been before so knew hotel's good points and its limitations. Breakfast is particularly good (despite running out of brown bread one day) and the staff, many of whom we recognised from previous visits, are helpful. Our shower was cold in the morning and the shower from the room above leaked through the ceiling (at least it was a bit warmer...). By way of apology, would have preferred a few quid off the bill rather than the £3.99 bottle of wine. |

Location to Paddington was excellent. Having said that, there are a lot of other hotels near Norfolk Square. No hot water - as in turn on the tap and nothing comes out. This was not just with my room, but overheard someone else complaining about same issue in lobby. Bathroom was extremely small - imagine a ship cabin / something in Africa - there is a curtain separating the toilet from the shower head. Was clean, but be prepared for very small. Friend's room was clean. |

Good location, friendly staff. I had to cancell 2 nights as could not stay in such conditions longer. No problem to pay money back - which was good! Single room located upstairs and no lift. Stairs are quite uncomfortable to climb especially if you have luggage. Also rooms are very noisy. But what do you expect for such money. |
