This friendly B&B-hotel is just minutes from Hyde Park and near to Oxford Street for shopping. Paddington Station is very close and has links to Heathrow Airport. The well-located Cardiff Hotel is on a quiet, tree-lined square within easy reach of Madame Tussauds. There are convenient Underground (subway) and bus lines to the West End theaters, Wembley Stadium, the museums, Harrods and more. The Cardiff Hotel has been run by the Davies family for 40 years. Most rooms have private bathrooms and some rooms have lovely views over Norfolk Square and its garden. English breakfast is available in the morning. Hotel Rooms: 60 Most recent booking for this hotel was yesterday at 16:54 from Hungary.

The location , as we came up from Plymouth into Paddington Station. The Hotel was across the road and a hundred yards further on. We were out every day touring or seeing shows, bus travel was great as we were above ground, so could take in the views . Furthest we travelled was to the Arsenal. Two buses but no problems. The only downside was we could not find the remote for the t v so the handyman came , lifted up the bed and asked me if I could see it, which I could so I retrived it .But under the bed had not been vacuumed for some considerable time . If the remote had been checked before the guests arrived under the bed would not of been seen !!!! I did point this out to the handyman.

The Cardiff Hotel was clean, friendly and very well located (a short walk from Paddington Underground and Main Line stations). The staff were pleasant and attentive. I would definitely stay there again. We were located on the third floor, and there didn't appear to be a lift available.

Great location! A bit busy but the staff were very friendly and welcoming. We took bikes and they found a place for us to store them overnight (you can't attach them to the rails in front of the hotel).

It is very useful being able to leave your luggage after you check out and come back at the end of the day to pick it up. Front desk personnel were very helpful and friendly. I only had a small suitcase that was light, however, if you had a heavy suitcase it would be difficult to carry it up so many stairs.

The hotel was close to Paddington railway station which I use. The hotel was clean and the breakfast was real good value for the money. Tube station was also close at hand (or should I say foot). Reception staff very helpful at questions I asked of them

Cardiff Hotel is a perfectly adequate overnight bed and breakfast hotel at a price that (for London) is reasonable. It is in a relatively quiet location very close to Paddington station and lt bus and tube routes. The breakfast service is quick and cooked to order - and offers real marmalade! I continue to use this for an overnight business stay. The rooms are small and basic - and there are four flights of stairs to the top floor. But this is what London offers at this end of the market.

Ok this hotel may not look amazing on the inside and could do with a good renovation (which I think they are trying to do), but this is all compensated by the friendliness of the staff and the location. From the moment we checked in (early at 10am) we were welcomed and made feel at ease, the breakfast staff were also lovely and very attentive. It is literally two minutes walk from Paddington station. I would definitely recommend this hotel, if you are looking for a hotel you want to spend loads of time in and not go out, then don't choose it, but its perfect for a city trip, as you are just really putting your head down at night and having breakfast there.

I liked the location. I did not like the beds and the sheets on the bed and the bathroom was very small with the shower almost on top of the toilet.

Great location - about 3min walk from Paddington Station and 10min from Hyde Park. Interior is a bit dated and the (single) room was quite small, but given the location and the prices this is actually very good value for money. Staff were very friendly and welcoming. The complementary English breakfast is a nice touch as well. Would definitely consider staying there again!

The location was perfect. I arrived late at night at Paddington train station from Heathrow, and the hotel was only a couple of hundred meters away. It was in front of a nice park and the area had nearby restaurants, stores and drinking places. There was tea making facilities available in the room, so was able to drink something hot when i arrived. The breakfast was ok. The room was small, but ok for a single. The bathroom was very small but very clean! The staff was helpful. The hotel was shabby in some places. So the carpet in my room was already kind of grey, there were construction materials scattered around.

Not much to be honest. It really could not get more basic. It shouts out at you that you are in a budget hotel. Felt like the building could cave in any moment and the interior of the building could use a lot of work as it is atrocious. I would not want a friend to visit me whilst staying there.
