Cardiff Hotel

We liked the friendly and helpful staff, and the small foyer where we could sit for a few minutes. The breakfast room was nice and bright, and the breakfast itself was good. The shower in our room was easy to handle and the best we have had in a hotel. The bed was very comfortable. The hotel is ideal for mature couples wanting a short stay in London.

The rooms were clean and heated. The morning breakfast was perfect. And most important of all the cost was very reasonable. The location of the hotel was so convenient. It is located right next to the Paddington station making everything you need accessible to you.

The bed was a bit soft. So if you are a person that needs a hard bed this may not be your ideal bed type. The TV is not a flat screen but I personally did not care about it because I don't watch TV. Beyond that everything else was just fine.

Very close to to the Underground and to the sightseeing Bus station.

The window was not able to close 100% , during the night a samll brize of Air went through the window which woke me up some times. After placing the towel around of the window i was finally able to sleep.

There is no fridge, hair dryer, gel&shampoo in bathroom and there is no problem. But it is nothing for me. I am satisfied.

The reception staff (day and night) were superb: efficient, cheerful, helpful. The location was excellent - so close to Paddington and its two supermarkets! Though dowdy and drafty, the rooms were cleaned well by the staff and blankets and space heaters were easily available. The breakfast staff were also superb: very efficient (and lots of them). The breakfast was large, and the selection of cereals satisfactory.

The single room I had was very small and had no view, though it was quiet and I didn't have to climb too many stairs. Because I stayed in the hotel for quite a long time, I wondered whether I had ended up with the worst room, but was told that the other single rooms were smaller and higher up (though they did have a view). Perhaps it is just because I'm North American, but even though I love fat and grease, the English breakfast didn't appeal to me, and I wished I could have substituted scrambled eggs for the fried one. However, the staff were very cheerful and there was a 'boiled egg' alternative to the full breakfast....

Excellent location (less than 1 min to the underground station and train terminal). Good breakfast. Clean room overlooking lovely view.

It is a cheap clean safe option for an overnight stay before going to Heathrow the next day.Located about 1 minute walk from Heathrow express.Staff are friendly and helpful.
