Breakfast Your Front Desk Manager was not welcoming. You fill in the gaps. Not impressed. Reception looked like an airport lounge |

It was great having the swimming pool and bar/food facilities available. While I was pleased to have the swimming pool at the hotel, the facilities were very dated considering the hotel had apparently had a recent revamp. Also very dissapointed with the room, we were disrupted by the boiler in the very early hours of the morning which was a constant very loud noise - this therefore woke us every morning. Needless to say we didn't have the relaxing break we were hoping for. Also on the website it said the hotel was close to the town centre (2 miles I think) and it definitely was much further. |

That we were able to arrive at any time and check in, the room was a really decent size, beds very comfortable Just the location as we were going out in Cardiff that night, so the taxis were expensive. So we will choose a closer one next time |

Our room had been very recently refurbished. It was modern, clean, comfortable and very spacious. Sound proofing between rooms is definitely a problem. We had a 21st birthday group in the room next to ours. There was also a wedding reception going on and children were allowed to run around the bar/lounge area between tables and knocking chairs over. |

The welcome at checkin was surly and unpleasant, and the dining room staff apart from one young girl were the same. The staff did not smile and all seemed unhappy. There was only a very small choice of cereal for breakfast - no meusli offered. The credit card was charged to our account two weeks before we arrived at the hotel - no other hotel did this during a month in the uk. The charge for breakfast was more than the amount advised on the net. Also, we had to carry heavy cases up stairs to get to the room provided. |

~Easy booking. Reception staff friendly. Room very good size as was the bed. Breakfast was just OK. Perhaps the crockery should be checked more regularly. |

We found the renovated room decor innovative, attractive, yet simply functional. Our business involves interior design and we were inspired by teh design. We were on a working weekend and finished late so were disappointed we were unable to use the pool, etc which was closed by 9:00 pm. |

My bathroom had hairs in the shower that was not mine, the hotel staff did not respond to my complaint of a loud mechanical noise that woke me up each morning. The hotel staff could not figure out until check out that breakfast came with the rooms and the food was below average. There was too much wrong to explain in this email. |

The rooms have been excellently refurbished and to a high standard of comfort. Check in was straight forward and very quick. Although there was a wedding being held at the hotel this did not result in a noisy evening/night. Atlthough the rooms have been well updated soundproofing is usually not and I found that sound did travel more than I like.Sadly people do not consider other guests when returning to rooms in the early morning with doors left to bang.( This of course is not the hotels fault.) Perhaps better "sprung" door closers to soften the closure rate might be fitted? |
