The hotel was easy to access and near all shops and bars. Parking was direcly opposite the hotel however £14.85 was rather expensive. The hotel was very helpful when I arrived taking my luggage to my room. All though my room was located on the main street I heard no noise from outside. Lighting in the room was perfect and the bathroom very comtempary and spotless. Bed was a double and very comfortable with very nice bedding. I ordered food in my room and the staff were very pleasant and talkative (which makes a change). I would most definatley retrun to this hotel and recommend to anyone.

Swimming pool and spa Dont like self service breakfast, just feel the fried food is not that nice after it has been sitting around for a while. I woul rather pay more and have ut freshly cooked. Also a few more tea bags supplied in the hotel room would be nice!

Stylish hotel. Large room. Comfortable bed. Good location. Room was cold when I arrived and no extra blanket in the wardrobes. Did heat up but took a few hours. In the morning the maid didn't knock and just opened the door when I was dressing.

Lovely room and amazing facilities. After our night out my partner went to the room before me, taking the key. The doorman refused me entry to the hotel as I did by have my key. He was very rude to me and I had to prove I was staying there at reception. This encounter certainly spoilt my otherwise fantastic night. Surely this scenario is a regular occurance and there is a better way to go about it. Some politeness would nt go a miss.

We were given a front facing room and were not told that a nightclub was opposite! The music did not stop until 3.00 am, then the street turned into a taxi rank with marshals and police.

Boutique style hotel. Stylish rooms and public spaces. Excellent facilities. Good value for money for a hotel of this standard. They were charging £5 to hire a robe in the spa area. These should have been provided as standard in the rooms.

very contemporary and trendy. rooms very high spec and was suprised that it was only a 4 star. there is no comparison between this hotel and the Hilton is over priced, dated and not worthy of 3 stars let alone 5 so i am surprised it is considered better than the Park Plaza i would imagine it can be pricey in the more common months and no car parking meant an extra cost of £15 which is a must in Cardiff

Without a dought the very best hotel we have ever stayed in, felt more like a 5 star hotel really, hotwl staff would do anything for you, very highly recomended! There was no hotel carpark but there is an ncp straight accross the road and you get 20 percent off when you stay, so it works out cheap and your cars very safe.

Location. Very central yet clever design ensured that rooms were extremely quiet (the hotel is built around a series of small squares with some brilliant hedge sculptures!). Quality of room was excellent. Staff attentive and friendly and car parking adjacent to the hotel at a discounted rate is an added bonus. A little oasis in the city. Well worth a visit at an excellent rate. The bar is a little impersonal and resembles a long corridor with no privacy whatsoever if you are a couple. Perhaps introducing some smaller seating areas so that you are not automaticallly included in the conversations of those sitting right next to you!

The inside of the building was very nice. Very nice washrooms. Comfy bed. The only thing this hotel lacks is something that makes you remember it or something that makes your stay special. The front of the building could really use a cleaning-up. At a business style hotel like this I would have expected a coffee maker in my room.

Breakfast was good, good quality and fresh. Service in bars was good. Very noisy at night, we stayed in room 317 and it was on front of Greyfriars St and the noise was really bad of people comining out of pubs and clubs until 4 am at least both Friday and Saturday. So felt under par next morning, a realshame.

The Park Plaza is one of the best hotels in Cardiff. The decor and general ambiance have a touch of class. The rooms at the front can be noisy at the weekend as there are a few bars opposite.

“Before we married myself and my husband used to work in the same building when it was part of the inland revenue so holds special memories for us. It is good that the original design of the building has been kept. Our room was perfect for the occasion of my husbands 60th birthday. Beautiful view . Quiet. Comfortable and relaxing. Everything a hotel should be.” Rebecca, Cardiff |
