A charming small hotel above a bar/cafe in the middle of the town. The staff were charming and courteous. The room was comfortable and nicely decorated, with a nicely fitted en suite with shower. I ordered Poached Egg Supreme for breakfast and enjoyed perfectly cooked eggs on smoked salmon and toasted muffin with hollandaise. Over all a far better than expected stay.
Slightly over priced.
Super location, welcoming staff, clean modern rooms, great choice of breakfast
To avoid any noise from the bar below (which I may add we didn't hear at all), we were given a room on the top floor which involved lots of stairs. Not ideal with two suitcases. Also the room was cold due to the window not closing fully.
Near to bars and restaurants
Size of room 10 could not swing a cat in it no where to hang cloths
Lady serving breakfast on New Years Day could not do enough, excellent customer service, very polite and helpful... Great ambassador for The Cargo
Room was very cold, additional electric heater was provided but could not leave on when not in room due to the card system
Great location for St Mary's football with lovely resturant
Location is great staff were pleasant and helpful bar and restaurant facilities were good
Room central heating was not working towel rail did not work and leaked water on floor room size was smaller than expexted
The room was great for one and large shower was amazing. I found the staff were very helpful and friendly.
The wifi was a bit patchy in the room but good in the bar/restaurant
Great location ,room was pleasant enough , staff welcoming on arrival.
we ended up leaving the hotel at 1am in the morning , very noisy bar ,we had a street facing room windows were not double glazed so could hear people's conversation outside as the night went on the more drunk people were . We complained and got our money back and left in the middle of the night , all in all not the best experience , they need to decide wether they are a hotel or a noisy bar as the two do not work !
Bathroom, comfort of bed
Great location good staff good breakfast nice bathroom.
Room very small and cramped too hot weak shower
Great breakfast and really nice staff.
Above a busy pub.
The bed was incredibly comfortable and the room was a nice size. I would stay again.
We had to wait 10-15 minutes to check in and the staff member wasn't very warming. Maybe he had a bad day? Our key 'went missing' so we were moved to another room. There were problems with the heating but they provided a heater, thankfully. The TV was very small and the shower was a little bit dirty. No fridge included.
Great room with a comfortable bed.
Location Breakfast Room Bed Shower
Really friendly staff and a very nice pub / restaurant. Loft room was large and very comfortable. Breakfast was FIRST class.... absolutely delicious and cooked to order.
Loft room requires some stairs climbing... but that's stating the obvious :-)
10 minutes walk from National Oceanography Centre. Convenient to restaurants. Laid back bar and restaurant. Great breakfast in bar. Comfortable beds with duvets and wonderful pillows.
Only street park available, which is free overnight but expense during the day. Staff slightly disinterested in hotel guests and pre-occupied with bar clients.
rooms were just lovely, perfect location, nice bar and staff!
two false fire alarms in the midnight
The only downfall was the adjoining door on the outside of our room allowed us to hear every conversation very clear from the bar otherwise was a pleasant stay
I ate all my meals and Cargo and the food was excellent.
The room was very small and didn't have a closet.
Location good for proximity to other eating places and to Ocean Terminal if going on a cruise.Room comfortable-breakfast good. A hotel with a little bit of character compared to , for example , Premier inns.
Would have had evening meal in pub area if staff had not been standing on chairs cleaning light fittings!
Staff very pleasant and helpful. Room cosy, lovely furnishings, bed and pillows comfortable. Excellent breakfast. Good central location with a good choice of restaurants.
Very noisy at night. I suppose, as over a bar on a Friday night, this was to be expected. Don't stay here if you want a good night's sleep. We were in the most expensive room and it was VERY loud until the early hours.
Rooms are lovely and bedding and beds soft and comfortable.
The stairs up to my room were a killer.
The bar. Breakfast. Staff.
Lack of Parking facilities. Having to pay for Parking.
Boutique style hotel, very clean, friendly and comfortable!! Have to say a step up from the run of the mill hotels you get nowadays, very good choice for breakfast. Would definately stay agaiņ!!
Bit pricey but it was boat show week so they were all pricey!!
