It is 10 minutes from Dundee town centre and offers free Wi-Fi and free on-site parking. Some rooms have views of the River Tay and the Castle, and all have a flat-screen TV and en suite bathroom. Some rooms have a seating area. St Andrews and Carnoustie golf courses are easy to get to, as are the Mills Observatory and Sensation Science Centre. The room was larger than other hotels Through no fault of their own, water started dripping out of the smoke alarm in the middle of the night. However, it was the response (or lack thereof) of the owner that has resulted in this poor review. A lack of answering the emergency number (the power had shorted out and we thought it was worth calling the owner), her lack of a) wanting to come to investigate and b) wanting to find an alternative room, were not appreciated. The manager was extremely apologetic the following morning and was helpful in negotiating a discount (not a complete one) from the owner. I would not recommend this hotel given the response to an unpleasant situation. I'd hate to see the response to a real emergency.

Bus station very close, clean room, free internet. Breakfast was very scarce for my taste; very tiny bathroom; 15 minutes by bus to city center.

Breakfast and the large room, very large bathroom, and view of the water. The large bed was the best night's sleep we got in a week. Conveniently located by Broughty Ferry seashore and Castle. A good value for the money and updated interior rooms were a plus. Adjacent restaurant was very good.

Room was very large and the bed was very comfortable. Tandoori was a bit smelly when having breakfast in the morning. Also I was unable to get my car into the car park.

Staff exceptionally friendly and helpful. Went far beyond the minimum in terms of welcome offered. Treated as if we were at home. Breakfast plentiful and very well cooked and served. Everything spotlessly clean. Had real sense of privacy, but aware help at hand if needed.

Sinceramente, nada.. Muy, muy sucio especialmente donde se desayuna. Tuvimos que pedir que pasasen el aspirador y cambiasen las sabanas sino o lo hacian.. Todo muy dejado y sucio. Nunca mas volvere.. Muy, muy sucio y dejado.
