the location comfort of bed food quality and quantity and price complimentary bar , mini bar overall price friendliness of staff
executive lounge was too quiet, may have been ideal for some but not all. Could have done with back ground music at least or was this considered so as you wouldn't stay too long.
Great location near train station and tourist attractions.
A little dated.
Free drinks in the room. It was great to drink a gin and tonic relaxing in our room. Room was spacious and very quiet. Staff were very pleasant and helpful. Executive lounge was great. Location could not have been better. The airport bus drops you at the door and you are in the heart of the shopping district and lots of pubs and restaurants are close by.
All good, nothing not to like.
The hotel is located a half a block away from the Queen St train station (turn right out of the station's doors) and another half block away from the long pedestrian shopping street where there are restaurants and street entertainers at night. The room was spacious after being in London and Scotland and offered free drams of spirits in cut glass decanters (which were not refilled once emptied unfortunately) and cans of mixers, soda, beer, wine, and water in the mini bar.
The hotel itself is just down the street from the Queen St train station (turn right out of the station doors) but we had a difficult time finding it mainly because, at eye level, there didn't seem to be any signage. We walked right by it. But look up above the door and the hotel's name is there. The wifi never seemed to reach our room.
Central location, facilities in the room, friendly and helpful staff.
Noisy air conditioning, unable to open window for air because of noisy machinery outside running all night, bath not properly cleaned.
Location, very helpful staff, many great options just a short walk away
Sadly not much of a view located on the inner part of the hotel
Location and staff friendly
Room was not as expected - we had booked a double executive room which was very disappointing. Fridge broken panelling in door and no light, poor lighting in room and bathroom, poor quality of bathroom and furniture with drawers and doors not opening/closing properly.
Really enjoyed stay here. Excellent location right in the heart of the city. Even arranged discounted parking but not that close. Penthouse dining room has great view and great food. Enjoyed Executive lounge too.
No on site parking. Exec Lounge not well serviced ... no glasses, no staff one evening.
Convenience to central Glasgow
WiFi wasn't brilliant
Breakfast was poor
The friendly staff. Very comfortable rooms finished to a high standard and the complimentary mini bar and whisky, vodka & gin. Have booked to return.
The free drinks in the room for guests. The standard of the accommodation and the location of the hotel just fifty yards from Glasgow Queen Street railway station. Sky sports was available in the room.
No tea or coffee making facilities in the room.
Fantastic location next door to train station and in midst of shopping centre. Great bars and restaurants nearby if you want to eat out. Friendly, helpful and polite staff. Mini bar very much appreciated!!!!! Complimentary copy of Scottish Field an added bonus. Thank you.
All good standard. Rooms are quiet and apropriate equiped. Good place to stay for exploring the city. Friendly staff.
Room was rather small and very dark. Almost no daylight. (1.Floor and view in to a small light bay with AC pipes).
Location, Room, Access to Club lounge for free tea & coffee and evening drinks, Staff especially Hector who were all friendly and efficient.
Room very warm, and air-con was very loud and not very efficient. A long way from overnight car parking.
Liked everything about hotel roof top restaurant excellent Very convenient for shopping and parking at near by venues Will be back for sure :)
Paid extra for access to the executive lounge as it was my wife's birthday and I was at a concert for one night. Well worth it for something a bit special.
Wifi was a bit hit and miss. Wife struggled with an iPad and a bit of a pain to re enter the passwords every time you logged on.
I find the Carlton George small enough to be intimate but very professional in their running of the hotel. Staff are excellent and one of the reasons I return regularily.
nibbles or lack of in the exec lounge; due to one table eating everything in sight.
The hotel is very reasonably priced and the free minibar is great! The location is perfect very central to everything!
There isnt enough mirrors in the rooms and the lighting could have been a bit brighter especially when trying to dry your hair!
Hector! The friendliest and most appealing face of the Carleton George, thank you! Also all the other staff that made our stay so enjoyable, the lovely room with balcony was a plus, location, location, location, fantastic!
Sorry guys, got to be the cooked scottish breakfast, should be made to order which would prevent it being dried up and sorry, tasteless. More attention to detail, a good breakfast will always add stars!
Free mini bar and drinks vouchers for nearby bars.
Buffet breakfast not great.
Location was fabulous right in the middle of the city. We only stayed one night, but the shopping would have been great if we had time.
Parking is not on site and you cannot park outside the hotel so it makes it very difficult if you have luggage. The parking is at the back of the shopping centre so a long way to drag bags.
You feel wery wellcome from the first "hello"
