Carlton George Hotel  

Good, clean, quality hotel in an excellent city centre location with friendly helpful staff. Ideally positioned for all shopping and restaurants and very close to main railway station. We stayed in an Executive Room which was slightly disappointing in size but was adequate. The room gave access to a lounge on the top floor with free beer during the day and spirits/wine in the evening. There is little in the way of wow factor but at the same time, I would expect most people to come away quite satisfied. Its a good choice for anyone visiting Glasgow city.

Nothing major to complain about. As stated above, the room was quite small for an executive room and very little natural light got into the room even with the curtains open. In fact, the whole hotel has a slightly cramped feel about it that some may not like.

The staff was friendly, professional and made our stay very pleasant. They were very helpful when we made inquiries. This was our first time in Glasgow and we left with a very good impression. When we do return, we will definitely stay at the Carlton George Hotel and will highly recommend your hotel.

Thought breakfast was good but sausages were undercooked .apart from no other problems.

Central position, and quiet room

The most important thing the sleeping experience. The bedhead. Was self important and uncomfortable. The bedclothes were heavy and too warm with no choise of throwing some off. Oh for a light duvet

A bit expensive for room only not the same selection in the free bar and staff their not very friendly.

Very good location in the centre of Glasgow. Good-sized bedroom for a city hotel. Good breakfast.

Despite requesting a view, our room had a very gloomy outlook, and even though we seemed to have paid more than the going rate, the receptionist refused point-blank to move us. Some cleaning had been missed in the room and the bedside light did not work.

Staff were exceptionally helpful and friendly, location excellent, food in rooftop room was excellent, thoroughly recommend!
