Hotel ist Mitten im Stadtzentrum. Es kann alles super zu Fuss erreicht werden!!!!!!! Einige Mitarbeiter waren sehr freundlich und hilfsbereit!!! Einige Mitarbeiter waren gar nicht hilfsbereit und frech! Das hat wahrscheinlich mit unserem Alter zusammen gehangen... (Haben wir so im Hotel Fragebogen ausgefüllt) Hotel ist im allgemeinen etwas schmuddlig... (Nicht gründlich sauber, keine Liebe zum Detail) |

Die fantastisch günstige Lage zu den touristischen Attraktionen und das großzügige und gut eingerichtete Zimmer Die Fenster waren nicht doppelt verglast, so daß die Lärmbelästigung durch umliegende Lokal schon recht gut zu hören war |

Es liegt super zentral in einer Verbindung zwischen Royal Mile und Princess Street. Geschmackvoll eingerichtet. Mischung aus modern und schottischem Flair. Das Parkhaus liegt 3 Straßen entfernt und man muss mit den Koffern durch die Stadt bergauf laufen. Das war etwas mühsam. |

The staff were friendly and helpful. the food was lovely, if not slightly overpriced. The airconditioning didnt work...as we went during the heatwave, it really affected us |

It is close to the city centre and railway station. Twenty-four hour check-in is always a bonus. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a welcome facility. It has no outside terrace for those -rare! - sunny moments in Edinburgh. The bar and restaurant, although comfortable, are large and rather souless spaces. The swimming pool is small - 10 metres - and not very suitable for small children. |

Location of hotel. Helpful concierge. Half-price cocktails. £15.50 per day charge for car parking. Same dinner menu for the two nights. Lack of bar staff in the evening. Poor breakfast service. |

Sorry, but the room was not clean, It was impossible to see out the windows due to the dirt. The decor was very dated for a 4 star hotel. |

The room was nice, though not a lot better than Ibis for example. I don't know if I would spend the money again. The hotel staff was not too friendly. Concierge was the only person smiling. There was nothing I really disliked. The ground in our room made awful noises when you walked. I just expected more from Carlton. |

The hotel was close to Waverley station, and very central to the city centre and all the attractions It was incredibly noisy, my room overlooked a main road and I was kept awake by the sound of cars, buses, motorbikes, then as the night progressed, shouting, horns and sirens.The air con didnt work and the room was very very warm. |

The location was perfect for a short stay, hotel is just off royal mile, which is where all the major sites are. Shower had some mold, but overall was a clean room. You could tell the building was old, but rooms were big and bathroom had more room than some of the hotels i've stayed at in the uk |
