Barceló Edinburgh Carlton Hotel

La ubicación del hotel es excelente. Está al lado mismo de la Royal Mile y todo te queda muy cerca. Además la apariencia exterior (la fachada) es muy bonita, una arquitectura georgiana muy elegante.La habitación era suficientemente amplia y la comida del desayuno abundante.

Hacía mucho calor en la habitación, el aire acondicionado no funcionaba y había un ventilador en su lugar....no parece muy serio en un hotel de esas características.

La ubicación, estaba muy centrico.

la comodidad y lo centrico que estaba de la ciudad. la limpieza de las instalaciones.

El personal es muy atento.

Las ventanas del hotel no están insonorizadas.necesita modernizar las infraestructuras básicas

Su situación en el centro de la ciudad

Que los servicios de piscina cubierta, yacusi, sauna están abiertos a la ciudad y había personas de fuera del hotel que lo usaban como instalaciones limpieza corporal (para lavarse), llegandose a afeitar en los lavabos de los vestuarios. Por otro lado las ventanas eran de madera con doble acristalamiento pero no impedían que el nivel de ruido fuese demasiado alto.

The staff were friendly and helpful. the food was lovely, if not slightly overpriced.

The airconditioning didnt work...as we went during the heatwave, it really affected us

It is close to the city centre and railway station. Twenty-four hour check-in is always a bonus. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a welcome facility.

It has no outside terrace for those -rare! - sunny moments in Edinburgh. The bar and restaurant, although comfortable, are large and rather souless spaces. The swimming pool is small - 10 metres - and not very suitable for small children.

Location of hotel. Helpful concierge. Half-price cocktails.

£15.50 per day charge for car parking. Same dinner menu for the two nights. Lack of bar staff in the evening. Poor breakfast service.

Sorry, but the room was not clean, It was impossible to see out the windows due to the dirt. The decor was very dated for a 4 star hotel.

The room was nice, though not a lot better than Ibis for example. I don't know if I would spend the money again. The hotel staff was not too friendly. Concierge was the only person smiling.

There was nothing I really disliked. The ground in our room made awful noises when you walked. I just expected more from Carlton.

The hotel was close to Waverley station, and very central to the city centre and all the attractions

It was incredibly noisy, my room overlooked a main road and I was kept awake by the sound of cars, buses, motorbikes, then as the night progressed, shouting, horns and sirens.The air con didnt work and the room was very very warm.

The location was perfect for a short stay, hotel is just off royal mile, which is where all the major sites are.

Shower had some mold, but overall was a clean room. You could tell the building was old, but rooms were big and bathroom had more room than some of the hotels i've stayed at in the uk

The location was excellent.

It was very tired. A general handyman could have fixed some of the problems (like loose tiles on the floor)
