Het hotel ligt in de buurt van de winkelstraten en is erg centraal gelegen.Ook voor de meer toeristische uitstapjes is de ligging OK .Wij hadden een kamer met een mooi zicht . Spijtig dat de parking toch vrij veraf ligt . |

Vriendelijke benadering receptie personeel, vlotte inchecken, keurige badkamer, De kamer was oud ! versleten vloerbedekking, rondom langs de plinten, grauwgrijs van de laag stof ! ramen met kieren konden niet goed afgesloten worden, sauna en zwembad en kleedkamers waren vies, oud, veel kapotte tegels, alsof er zojuist een brits rugbyteam heel erg tekeeer is gegaan ! erg uitgeleefd ! |

Excelent location. It is very, very close to railway station and to royal mile, right in the middle of it It has known better moments. Slowly getting worn out |

The staff were friendly and helpful. the food was lovely, if not slightly overpriced. The airconditioning didnt work...as we went during the heatwave, it really affected us |

It is close to the city centre and railway station. Twenty-four hour check-in is always a bonus. The swimming pool and jacuzzi were a welcome facility. It has no outside terrace for those -rare! - sunny moments in Edinburgh. The bar and restaurant, although comfortable, are large and rather souless spaces. The swimming pool is small - 10 metres - and not very suitable for small children. |

Location of hotel. Helpful concierge. Half-price cocktails. £15.50 per day charge for car parking. Same dinner menu for the two nights. Lack of bar staff in the evening. Poor breakfast service. |

Good location room was okay Pool wasn't very good jacuzzi was taped off. Not really worth the money could really do with being refurbished. |

Sorry, but the room was not clean, It was impossible to see out the windows due to the dirt. The decor was very dated for a 4 star hotel. |

The room was nice, though not a lot better than Ibis for example. I don't know if I would spend the money again. The hotel staff was not too friendly. Concierge was the only person smiling. There was nothing I really disliked. The ground in our room made awful noises when you walked. I just expected more from Carlton. |

The hotel was close to Waverley station, and very central to the city centre and all the attractions It was incredibly noisy, my room overlooked a main road and I was kept awake by the sound of cars, buses, motorbikes, then as the night progressed, shouting, horns and sirens.The air con didnt work and the room was very very warm. |

the staff were paricularly friendly, the room was spacious and comfortable thought the fitness area could be updated, although good variation of equipment and free weights. more the pool and jacuzzi, a little old and dated |

The location was perfect for a short stay, hotel is just off royal mile, which is where all the major sites are. Shower had some mold, but overall was a clean room. You could tell the building was old, but rooms were big and bathroom had more room than some of the hotels i've stayed at in the uk |

It was nice and central. The pool and jacuzzi etc. The ensuite - bath not clean, Room dark.Twin beds very narrow. No paper arrived. |

central location in city. yes, the noise heard from the very busy North Bridge adjacent street was very loud due to poor acoustic perfermance of the windows. The air conditioning did not work at all and the room was stifling hot and extremely uncomfortable to sleep. |
