Location is excellent. Close to Underground and National Rail....Many choices of food and supermarkets nearby. Staff is ok. The breakfast is fair, but those 2 ladies there are very hard-working. Internet works inside the room, but the signal is very weak. We never try the downstair lobby. The hotel is located at main intersection. Traffic is very busy and noisy, especially a lot of sirens all day long. We need to close the window at night and leave the fan on, or bring the earplugs with you. The room is very small that we are expected. However the furniture is very cheap and lack of maintainance. The drawers are broken and there is a fist mark on the toilet door. We stay there for 6 nights. They clean the room everyday, but the floor is never been swapped/mopped. Besides we need to use our shampoo, tooth paste... One of the wall plug is not working. If they can rotate different choices of breakfast everyday, it will be much better. Then we don't need to eat the same breakfast for a week! Moneywise I still recommend.

Nice location with a distant view of St. Pancras International, so ideally situated when you need to catch an early morning train. I was in the annex, which was really quiet. Breakfast was abundant. Good value for money, just don't expect four-star comfort as it isn't a four-star hotel.

I was in a new extention so the bathroom fittings and furniture were all new, although a bit flimsy. I found the breakfast to be substantial although set out a bit like a "greasy spoon" establishment. When I first arrived the smell of paint was over powering, when questioned I was told the walls had just been painted!!! My room was very cold, when I complained I was told the heating went on automatically and because it was not too cold outside it wouldn't come on. I ended going to bed wearing a cardigan. The curtains in my room were 2 inches too short and the bed was not a full size double, the room should have only been advertised as a single. Because I was a solo traveller the sencond towel was removed and on my last night I was left to use a wet one that hadn't dried due to the cold temperature of the room. They were so stingy they only left one pack of biscuites and non for the last night. No attention to detail or customer satisfaction. There had been a ball of hair under the dressing table the whole time I was there and the bathroom light was on a timer of about 30 secs, I ended up waving my arms about just so I could have a shower with the light on. All in all I was very disappointed with my stay.

Traveling with my mom to visit my sister in London and do some sightseeing. Wanted a hotel right by St. Pancras train station (early morning Eurostar trip to Paris one day), and it was perfect, and also a good connection to King Street tube station so you can go anywhere in London. Very clean room and bathroom, in new building down street from building with front desk in it. The people who worked at the hotel were very nice and helpful, and there was a full breakfast every morning. It was pretty quiet, and perfect for our purposes. No big problems - the pillows on the bed were very flat and not very comfortable, and there was no wireless in the rooms (there is wireless in the main building). But, this is a good hotel and I would definitely stay there again and recommend to others.

Friendly, helpful staff.quiet room next to busy street and train station. Very limited space in the room.only one prson could walk around at a time. Given the choice of two buildings when checking in,the nosier one next to busy road or another 6 doors up which is quieter but limited space and no lift(3floors) I am a bad sleepr so had to choose the quieter option with no lift and minimal space.

The location worked for us as we needed to be near the stations. It was easy to find a place to eat.The room was warm and the bed was comfortable. The lift was broken. The room was shabby,it was small and the bathroom smelt a bit. I had to do a repair job with the curtains to get them to close properly.Am not sure that the security was all it could have been..one yale lock to the door, would have been easy to shove the door open.

The location is great. Two steps from the Kingcross station. It's London, so the rooms are small. Hotel staff is unfriendly. Took me about 5 minutes before getting wet under the shower. Hardly any water pressure.

Conveniently located right near to the main station kings cross. Really friendly staff Clean hotel rooms that were maintained daily with refreshment top ups There is a little noise from the street - but thats to be expected in the city The English breakfast is probably the best I have tasted in hotels in the uk (and I have stayed at many)

I had a good stay with my three friends at Carlton Hotel. Perfect location close to nearest tube! You'll get what you paid for, perfect for weekends. The breakfast was Ok, but could be much better. Had to wait for toasted bread a long time every morning.

Comfortable room by budget hotel standards, ideal location for Euston & Kings Croos/St Pancras. Friendly staff. Breakfast was very basic. Only problem was price - at £90 pppn too high for the type of hotel.

The location is perfect the St. Pancras International station is just a 05 minutes walking, also you can find station for the underground. The breakfast was acceptable. Location is good thing to booking. The rooms are not the same that they appear in the photos. Rooms are too small and the prices are higher than other cities that we have been visited.

Location! It's just accross the road from King Cross Station. Convenient if you have heavy luggage to lug about. Our room was on the basement (Room 3b), and we were told the room was newly refurbished. It was acceptable for four paxs of adult. But the bathroom was too small to be properly comfortable. Without even a tiny window, the bathroom tend to develop this unventilated and unpleasant smell.
