A lovely room looking overlooking a park. Staff very helpful and a lovely breakfast. Luxury at a very good price.

Only one set of towels in the room

The Spa was very relaxing. The food was well presented and tasty.

When going up to your room, you emerge from the lift and are plunged into darkness. Once your eyes become accustomed to the dark you find your way down the corridor and find your room solely by tiny spotlights over every door. I asked reception if they could 'turn the hall lights on please' and she said that it was company policy to only use the spotlights over the doors and not the main ceiling lights. It seemed to be a ludicrous way of saving money; very bizarre.

The view over looking the grounds of the college was lovely. The saff was very friendly and when we returned from visiting family we found that all the parking bays were full but after speaking to a member of staff they moved their car for us to park. That is what I call customer service.

We found no problem at this hotel.

I stayed at the hotel with my son who was playing ice hockey on Saturday and Sunday at Ice Sheffield. We booked the hotel because of the swimming/spa facilities combined with a good value package covering room and breakfast. It was not too far from the arena either.

The receptionist was very pleasant when we arrived and we like the spa facilities a lot. The bed was very uncomfortable though and we did not sleep well.

The hotel is in an ideal location for differing tastes. Bedrooms are very comfortable with all amenities. We attended a family party, the hotel had catered for the buffet and the food was plentiful and varied.

Rooms were very clean and spacious, Staff were very helpfull and breakfast was great . very good value for the price we paid.

Easy to book, great location, lovely rooms, very comfortable beds and great value for money including breakfast - cannot complain!

The leisure facilities, the welcome tray and the room layout and furnishings.

Bath with shower that did not move and was attached, no good for trying to wash hair properly.

We liked everything about the Carlton. The staff at Carlton Park were welcoming and approachable, the rooms were clean and furnishings and decorations were new. This was true also of the communal areas. We stayed two weeks before Christmas and the hotel hosted a couple of events but it was not noisy rather it added a lively buzz to this atmosphere. The English breakfast was as good as any on offer at more expensive hotels. All this and it is only a 12 minute walk into Rotherham town centre. We would stay again.

The staff were very pleasant. I was also given gluten-free biscuits, for my room. This is a first in all of the hotels I've previously stayed at. Well done!

It's convenience to other pubs in the area. How comfortable and cosy the bar area is.

The room smelt a little.
