Carlton Park Hotel Rotherham/Sheffield  

We were married at carlton park last year2010 and could not fault the place, excellent service,surroundings, food a very enjoyable experience so we returned this year for our anniversary and again very impressed. Standards not slipped at all.

Friendly and helpful staff. Nice atmosphere, clean and tidy. Good facilities. Upgraded at no extra cost due to availability. Excellent breakfast

Room was comfortable but reason for staying at the Carlton was for the spar facility which was great.

Room was larger than on previous visit and room was warm on arrival late on a cold night.Food was good,particularly good for evening dinner. Despite hosting two successive wedding parties and ladies night, noise wasn't too bad and our room was comparatively quiet. However,these customers should be educated in keeping toilets tidy!

I stay here every year I go to rotherham to see old friends. It is friendly, comfortable, got a pool and gym too. Easy access to motorway, on a bus route and is walkable into town. I like it.

Hairdryer didnt work. Bat out of hell playing at breakfast.

The hotel is ideal for an overnight or short stay, lots of free parking which is always a bonus. Breakfast was included in our stay and it was very good value with lots of choice. Some of the rooms are a little on the small side, but clean and with everything you need.

Bar prices are much higher than you would pay locally, but I guess thats always the same with hotels!

carlton park hotel was fine but I think it is in need of an update , lift did not work during stay and my elderly father could not use the stairs / luckily it was just as we were leaving after breakfast so he had to wait downstairs as we were on the fourth floor.

The hotel interiors were modern, stylish and comfortable. The room was spacious and clean. The bar area was a nice place to relax and the food there was tasty. The added benefit of a small pool with sauna and steam room exceeded expectations for such a reasonably priced hotel.

Our room was over a function room, which was holding a theme night, so a little noisy, but it did not go on too late.

The hotel was ok,

the breakfast was stone cold in the mornings,wouldnt included the breakfast if I decided to stay again I think I would prefer to eat elsewhere, eggs were all black bits and swimming in fat.

Convenient and easy to get to. excellent breakfasts.

It was convenient and adequately comfortable with a good standard of services. We were struck by its cleanliness. Staff were helpful and polite. Breakfast was good. Lighting, for reading, in the bedroom was better than many hotels but still not wuite bright enough.

Beds are only 4ft 6 inch which we find narrow, but we found that we could have upgraded to "family room" which had a double and a single bed; or to a 5ft 6inch fourposter.

Staff were very helpfull , food was good and a good selection at breakfast. Very good value for money.
