Score from 212 reviews Good
Good value for money. Basic room with a comprehensive breakfast choice. Helpful cheery staff. Close to the tram and prom.
We stayed when it was very windy and it sounded as if the roof was going to lift off. Loose cables outside the window and an exceptionally noisy roof made sleeping a challenge. Just about a view of the sea.
The whole experience was great!
The food was good
Room smelt funny carpet had bits on. Shower was hot and then cold wet the floor and I sliped and hurt myself towels was very small. Hairs on the sink room was red hot despite turning the radiator off and opening windows full. Young adults running around corridors most of the night very loud and noisy people screaming and having sex ridiculously loud disgusting. No one on the front desk to complain to got no sleep at all. Room was tiny not a good place to stay. On pictures hotel looks big and green its actually small and white more like a b&b payed far too much money to stay not near anything apart from other hotels no entertainment on dont think the bar was open. Not good would not stay here again.
friendly staff really good sized room which was exceptionally clean , en suit with bath and shower . the breakfast was a treat we will be using this hotel again as we visit blackpool to see ourfamily 6/7 times a year.
nothing , the only thing is parking but in blackpool its a problem no matter where you stay.
Staff were friendly and quick, the bar was well stocked when we went in for a drink before going out and a reasonable price. Breakfast was excellent. Rooms were comfortable and the bed was well presented and bedding looked as new.
Rooms could do with some updating and decorating. Not keen on having to pay for an extra tea bag or milk in the room.
Lovely staff and large clean family room
quiet basic room ,good breakfast
could nt get wifi to work ,option of early breakfast would have helped ,dificult to get parked
All the staff were friendly and helpful
When busy the breakfast room gets full and not enough seats
The breakfast was A+++++
Its situated a long way from the town centre
Reception area welcoming. Staff very friendly and polite. Disabled person friendly. Ramp to entrance. Lift to all floors. Disabled toilet on ground floor near lift. Very nice, pleasant dining room.
Bedroom was twin. I found it rather small for two people. Very warm but could get quite stuffy. Unable to open window. Toilet hard to flush. Handle needed to be pressed about five times before it would flush. Felt the room needed a good overall. Decor and furnishings.
Nothing was too much trouble for all the staff. The breakfast was excellent and very substantial would reccomend to others.
Everything was excellent there was nothing to dislike.
Couldn't get hot water for shower after night out of dancing.
Staff very helpful, good food, clean rooms, good night's sleep, will definitely go back.
All good no dislikes.
friendly welcome greeted with a cup of tea and biscuits, room clean and comfortable, breakfast fresh and delicious.evening entertainment brilliant.hotel in good position just a tram ride to the piers and lights
Size of room, location, breakfast staff and breakfast was great with plenty of choice.
Superior room? Located above a very loud bar with a view of a brick wall. Poor quality furniture, bed, bedding, very thin walls! It stated a recent refurbishment on this room. I failed to see where the money was spent? I've paid alot less for far superior accommodation. Price was so ridiculously inflated I expected alot more for my money. The public areas were filthy. I definitely wouldn't stay again.
Rooms warm and comfortable. Staff friendly and helpfull
good location nice and quite at the south end catch tram outside up to north blackpool very good breakfast
Good Location Large bar room Decent breakfast
Rooms a bit grubby and in need of decorating Strange smell in hallways Not many staff Generally run down
reception area is clean and tidy, has bar with karaoke if that's your thing. Parking directly outside if you arrive early enough, if not parking around the hotel in back streets is free as based in residential area. As it is based in a residential area on the sea front it is very quiet however it is surrounded by derelict buildings. It is quite a walk to the busy side of promenade but there is a tram and bus stop by the hotel
Family room look good on first impressions but bunk beds are extremely squeaky which kept everyone awake, double bed mattress was extremely uncomfortable. Various marks on carpet and walls. Carpet on steps from first to second floor very dangerous as carpet grips/plates extremely loose on steps. Had to wait in reception area to be seated for breakfast as not enough tables for guests. Breakfast buffet was not replenished so had to ask for missing items and staff appeared stressed. Cooked breakfast again look good on arrival but was tasteless and of poor quality.
I couldn't fault the Carn Brae it was in a good location away from the hustle and bustle but right opposite the tram stop which took you to where you wanted to be, staff and accommodation were spot on, thanks again
the hotel is really nice, friendly hotel. the tram stops across the road. there is drinks room. now the breakfast, there is allsorts, fruit toast, cereals, yogurts, and you can have a cook breakfast on top of all theses, also keppers . a lot for your money. the hotel is in a nice quiet place. we had sea front room, a single bed, and a double bed. room was roomy, nice hot shower, plenty room in shower. there is towels bath towel and hand towel per person, change daily if you want too. hair dryers can lend them if you want, free of charge. tea coffee sugar milk, replaced daily. it was nice and warm hotel as well. the trams came around every 12 mins. we stoped 26th too 28th September 2014. I would stop here again.
the only thing was, the single bed was hard, and my son moaning. but our double bed, was lovely and soft. and the time we was there, went too fast.
It was a very good hotel perfect location and lovely staff
The room was a little too hot and no fan
Does not take long to get to the pleasure beach from here, nice clean hotel, very friendly helpful staff who recommended places to eat out
It is much further away from the other side of blackpool (the tower etc) but we did know this when we booked the hotel, not the hotels fault, was just that no other hotels closer to the rest of blackpool were available at the time
