This is the second time I have stayed at Carolina Guest House and won't be the last. With a son at Cambridge University it is an ideal place to stay when we visit. I have stayed in a twin and a family room and both were clean, comfortable and warm. The breakfast sets you up for the day and the staff are very friendly and helpful. I would definitely recommend this.

The variety and quality of the breakfast (continental and full english) was excellent. The room was comfortable and very clean. The owner was welcoming upon my arrival and friendly throughout my stay. I would recommend the Carolina to anyone looking for a good b&b in Cambridge.

The hotelier was not very hospitable on arrival. Had a problem with the idea if cooking 5 full English breakfasts. Baked beans were cold as was the hash brown and fried eggs over cooked. No choice of what you had with your cooked breakfast. Over priced.

I turned up without cuffflinks and the owner could not be more obliging. He lent me a pair of his own. The owner also turned out to greet us outside the normal hours. We told him we would be there at about 8pm or 9pm and he said fine. In the event we were there at 7.30pm. The room was clean and airy and brightly decorated. The bathroom was clean with a good shower. We had a few problems with the loo seat but that was about all. I chose this guest house because of previous reviews and was not disappointed. On the contrary the service was excellent with a damn good breakfast. Some other comments complained about the main road. I was at the back of the house and heard nothing. I had two good nights sleep. I would recommend this guest house to anyone as a suitable place for children or the elderly and a good spot for a cty break in Cambridge.

It is a nice place to stay for one night. I also enjoyed the hot English breakfast. The shower is also nice, relaxing from these days travelling... The only thing can be better is the price of the room. On the webpage, it says it costs about Single from £38.00 (per room per night), but I paid a lot more... I will recommend this hotel to stay, just figure out the price better than me ^^

Friendly staff, clean comfortable room and surprisingly quiet, given that it's on a main road. Car parking was easy and checkout was at 10.30 (not 10.00 as stated on Bookings.com). Cheap, simple accommodation and good value for a short stay.

lovely hosts who did everything to make my daughter and myself comfortable....rooms were very good size, breakfast was plentiful... if you really need to be in the city centre with no car then it's location is not ideal....I had a car and it took me less than 15 minutes even during rush hour..

This was a lovely 'B&B' in a fairly convenient position for the city. I enjoy walking, and it was an easy 25 minutes into the heart of Cambridge, but there is also a frequent bus service. The room was well appointed and very clean. The breakfast was fine - plenty of choice and a cooked option if wanted.

This is a family bed and breakfast hotel which is slightly outside the center of Cambridge. The owners were very friendly and helpful and we thoroughly enjoyed staying with them. We had a triple bedroom that we shared with our daughter. The room was small, but extremely clean and newly decorated. We had the feeling of more being in a well kept home than in a hotel. The b&b has rooms in two adjacent terrace houses and it was sufficient space outside for our daughter to be able to park her car during the two days we stayed there. The room came with a large bathroom equipped with a bath tub; yet again very clean and nicely decorated. The only complaint we can think of is the quality of the pork sausages they served. They were not to our standard, but the reset of the food was of good quality.

“We only stayed for 1 night as we had tickets to see a show but the room was excellent & breakfast was lovely. Would definitely recommend this to anybody looking to take a trip to Cambridge as its a short walk into the centre & parking is free too unlike other places actually in the centre. Would stay here again!!” Shelley, Luton |
