Very comfortable, clean, good service and a very quiet location in it's own extensive grounds, well located for touring Anglesey. Food reasonably priced. Not an eating place for slimmers, however excellently cooked food.

It was a perfectly located adequate stop over en route to Holyhead Ferry Terminal. The staff were friendly and helpful. It's not major but there were a lot of stairs to negotiate to reach our room (423). Fortunately our bags were not too heavy, but it would have been difficult for elderly or disabled people. There is no lift!

The staff were friendly and efficient. The bathroom was cleaned every day and fresh towels provided. The setting was very pretty with lovely gardens and trees to look out at. There was a comfortable, homely feel to the place. Best of all was the food, a good menu at surprisingly low prices! The room decor was dated and the bathroom old-fashioned. But it was clean and homely and they were undergoing refurbishments downstairs. Maybe this will extend to the bedrooms rooms in time?

Even though Carreg Mon was undergoing alterations and busy, the food was fresh and fresh-cooked and the service was always personal, friendly and attentive. It was this that made the stay memorable and we have recommended it to friends.

Very friendly and helpful staff, comfortable rooms. Next to the train line was a little disturbing but not a real problem. Bathroom, although adequate was rather tired and could do with a refit.

The hotel is being updated to a high standard. The food was great. Staff were very helpdull, nothing was too much bother! Obviously still a little way to go, the bathroom looked a bit tired.

We only stayed one night but would highly recommend the hotel to anyone. From the moment we arrived, we found the staff very helpful and very customer friendly. They really were no.1 Positive. The beds were comfy and the food exceptional. Being a big lasagne fan, I have to admit that the lasagne I ate here was up there with the very best! The hotel was clean and ideally located to tour the rest of Anglesey, Bangor or Snowdonia. It was a very pleasant experience but the highlight was definately the staff!

Room was clean and comfortable. The breakfast was very good. Where our room was it was quite noisy (it sounded like the kitchen were throwing out to the bins) till about 11pm. I liked the location and enjoyed having an early morning walk down to the water edge and the miniture Nelsons coluum there. I had stopped their once before so knew what to expect. Just a couple of small things. When I went to pay the bill the chip and pin machine did not work so had to pay in cash (luckly I had enough on me) and when we went for breakfast at 0830 as agreed the roon was not open

Excellent position, great food. A small problem with the mattress on our bed caused us a couple of sleepless nights, however, when we plucked up courage to report the problem, it was resolved immediately.

The staff were very helpful and friendly. It was in a great location near the bridge. The room we occupied - called Leo. The bathroom was not ideal. The position of the glass shower door meant it was almost impossible to turn on the bath taps or the shower without first clambering over the end of the bath and walking to the end where the taps were! easy? not if you have any physical problems,my husband has back and hip problems and found accessing the taps and shower impossible.

The staff are very welcoming and the hotel has a warm, homely feel. I booked a family room and when I arrived found that I had a lovely double room with ensuite connecting to my son's room - another twin bedded room with ensuite. We had an evening meal in the restaurant, which I would recommend. The hotel is ideally located for a trip to the island, literally just over the Brittania Bridge. Although it is very close to the A55 the hotel was very peaceful, there was no traffic noise. I would definately recommend a stay here.

Such a warm welcoming atmosphere. Made to feel welcome from moment we stepped through the door. Food was excellent and the hotel receptionist was too. Nothing was too much trouble for her.A Credit to the place. Rooms need an update but were spotlessly clean.
