A really warm welcome to a lovely hotel, tastefully decorated, very comfortable, a real gem.

Creaky floorboards and bed!!

First room given bed rocked and moved when touched let alone sleeping in it but was given another room.

Pleasant Staff

Location is spot on, ideal for visiting the place. The place cannot be faulted. Excellent receptionist.

It was noisy at night,struggle to sleep due to alot of shouting at night. from a group of men.

Friendly staff Food

Rooms were shabby, old decor, cheap furniture, dirty and unfinished. Walls paper thin so very noisy.

The Reception / Bar / restuarant areas were very modern . Location was very good along with the grounds . It was easy to find .Breakfast was excellent , it seemed to be very popular . Staff were very friendly and helpful

Some of the standard bedrooms were a little tired , but generally acceptable

The friendly staff. Breakfasts. Tea & coffee facilities in the room. The great little hairdryer. Fantastic 4 poster bed. Good cleaning of the room each day, without hassling us about when we were in or out. Would recommend hotel if the upstairs was as tidy as downstairs.

Musty smell in room when first arrived - Old damp patch in corner of room & some wall-paper needed replacing. No extractor fan in bathroom. No hot water in the en-suite on the day we were leaving (soon rectified thanks to the staff.) Guests swearing a lot in the bar on first night. No porridge on the breakfast menu. Lack of swimming pool - Would have paid extra!

The bar area is much better now it has been re-furbed.The food was very good.

The bedroom walls were very thin but I could live with that.The bedrooms were comfortable but could maybe do with a bit of a re-furb.

Staff were excellent, most important to us, bar & resturaunt outstanding, rooms at little tired, but with some investment in them,this hotel will be without doubt the best place to stay on Anglesey.

Rooms, we stayed in the family room with adjoining rooms, as i say are a little tired,clean but in much need of refurbishment.

You could hear the room next to you so much. I knew exactly what Margaret was doing all weekend and precisely what they were watching on tv at midnight. It didn't help that Margaret liked to then wake up at 7am and watch BBC Breakfast full blast for 2 hours!

The staff on arrival were friendly and welcoming, this set the tone for the visit. The meal in the restaurant was outstanding just as good as many celebrity restaurants in Manchester.

Lousy coffee, tepid cooked breakfast; very small bathroom with no heating

The newly renovated bar and function area on the ground floor was very good and the staff were all most obliging. The food was good and of high standard, but maybe a bi pricey. The wine was expensive.

The bedroom was the worst we have experienced in many years: upon arrival no heating was in operation (and this was in January!!). The bathroom was ancient, with paint flaking off the walls, no expelair, cheap lino covering 'iffy 'floorboards, loose boards in the bedroom, electric wiring tacked to skirting boards for side light, surface conduit to the smallest TV we can remember in a Hotel. We made the mistake of accepting this rubbish room before fully inspecting it: never again! We will not be back. It needs a complete renovation.

Excellent friendly service from all of the staff. Superb food in the restaurant in the evening. An all round comfortable stay after a long day's driving.

There was nothing to dislike. All the staff were very friendly and made you feel welcome. They were like a breath of fresh air. If it was necessary to need to find accommodation in Angelsey again we shall be back.

The breakfast was very good value for money and downstairs was very modern.

There was a party going on through the night which we were never told about, the venue was right below our room and the music was very loud, I don't think we would have minded as much if we had been told about it first! Also the whole of the downstairs had been renovated but the upstairs could have done with it. The room numbers/names were confusing and not really explained.
