We booked this Hotel because we were there on a dance weekend, which we thoroughly enjoyed. We found the staff very friendly and helpful. It was in a nice quiet area so our sleep wasn't disturbed. It was only about 10 mins at the most drive into the shopping centre. On foot the beach was probably a good 20 mins walk. On one of the mornings the hotel had problems with electric in the restaurant and had to resort to providing breakfast in the lounge. This must have been a nightmare for the duty manager but he and his staff coped wonderfully. We had stayed at this hotel before, about 4 years ago. Then the food was excellent but we were very dissapointed with the quality of the food this time. The starters and desserts were acceptable but the main meal I'm afraid was pretty dismal. Breakfast was ok but I would have liked a better choice of fresh fruit/croissants and better coffee that didn't taste like it had been stewing for hours. Although our room was very clean there was evidence of very poor repair jobs. Also the bath panel was split and the shower was either scalding or cold. Would I stay here again? Only if it was another weekend dance break. To entice me for a week they would definately need to improve their food.

Convenience and elderly parents enjoyed it. Not a hotel I would choose personally if travelling on own as everything a little outdated however price reasonable. Not keen on lifts or narrow corridors. Decor a little worn in places however it had a typical seaside hotel feel about it.I wouldn't recommend this hotel to younger friends but older relatives would enjoy.

The location suited us very well. Parking was good. The rooms are well equipped and spacious. Breakfast is quite good. The swimming pool is excellent. The staff are friendly and helpful. There are tea/coffee makers in all rooms, also free coffee and tea in the lounge in the evenings. The lift is very old and temperamental. The front stairs are quite difficult when carrying a suitcase.

The staff were friendly. The food in the restaurant was very good, lots of it. Pleasant staff in the restaurant. he Hotel could do with a lick of paint and a new bathroom. However we were just using it as a base, the beds were clean and tidy, the food in the restaurant was great and lots of it. Staff the ones we meet were friendly. Our family room was over one of the function rooms so noise / music could be heard, we were so tired didn't really affect us too much.

Upon arrival we were allocated room 34, there was a constant buzzing noise coming from outside the window, as we were going out for the rest of the day and evening, I reported this to reception on my way out. When we got back to the hotel around midnight the buzzing noise was still present, I spoke to the night shift manager who informed me that the noise was coming from the extractor fan in the kitchen, he turned it off, however the fan went back on at 0600hrs. Not a good start to our break. I complained to the manager, and was re allocated another room[avoid room 34]

They took dogs which is important to us. Also feeding them was a very nice touch. I think our room was 327. The only thing I would mention which is not massively important was the position of TV in room - in far corner facing wardrobe?? We thought it was on bracket that could swing out into room. We wonder why it was not positioned on the left hand side of the mirror which would make it easier to watch lying on the bed.

The staff were very friendly and made us feel welcome and were very happy to answer an questions we had. The room we stayed in was very warm as it had the heating pipes underneath us, we had to use the air cooling machine which was in the room to keep it at an even and comfortable temperature.

Efficient check in service. Friendly, helpful staff always. Caters for dogs if wish to take with you. Relatively easy to find. Good sized car park usually with plenty of spaces, although this visit the carpark was full as hotel busy. Good selection for breakfast well cooked and served efficiently. Generally can order good food at bar, unfortunately food was not available on the night I stayed as there was a big event booked at the hotel using the restaurant. Not a problem as plenty of restaurants nearby. Cate.rs for disabled

There was a party going on in one of their function rooms and although we were on the 2nd floor we could here the music very clearly. I have suggested that maybe people attending such functions should be accommodated in these rooms

The staff - particularly the guy at the front desk. Helpful, friendly, flexible - they are a huge asset to the hotel. The breakfast was fine and the beds were very comfortable. The tv in the room (102 I think we were in) was in a really silly position ( so you had to move chairs and sit in front of it to see it. It was a wee bit shabby and run down eg tears in the curtains that surely wouldnt have taken much time or money to repair. The coffee - at £2.50-wasnt very nice and you didnt get much of it.

The hotel is very tired and in massive need of modernisation. Not comfortable and the walls are so thin that you can hear other guests in the corridors and other rooms. Chamber staff were ignorant or could not speak English.

Was pleasently surprised by this hotel as the photos do not do it justice. We stayed in a family room and it was huge and comfortable although the heating was extreme and there are no safety catches on the windows. The staff were polite and helpful and a big thumbs up for the breakfast (even my fussy children loved it) without a doubt this will be my hotel choice next time were in bournemouth. The heating in the room was over the top and there are no safety catches on the windows which open really far. Not good for a first floor family room with small children.
