Room too cold
Great food and service
Poor wifi sometimes, but good in the bar area.
No hot water at 7.30 am Supposed to have hi speed wifi but useless in the bar, reception and room Very limited food choice
Very small room for the price. No hot water in shower. Very expensive for very little.
Staff Food Location Off road parking
WIFI poor Phone signal poor
Location, parking, food.
General ambience and decor -- I don't like old places done up like trendy wine bars. Beer was disgusting - some local brew .Far too cold, and a bit off. No shaviing light over mirror in bathroom.
Rooms basic and not very clean on this occasion. Reasonably pricy for the standard of room.
The young lady at Reception (I think she was called Emily/Emma) tried her best to be helpful. Close to Aynho House - a feature they exploit in the price they charge.
The room (either 11 or 12) was a cheap conversion and bore little resemblance to the publicity pics. There was no hot water in the evening and only tepid water in the morning. The amenities (bar of soap, shampoo, tea and coffee) were what you'd expect from an average b and b. Likewise the breakfast that stopped serving at 10.00pm. In short, the £150 tarif was more than twice it should have been.
Excellent service, considering the upset over the evening meal.
Standard of meals was not up to their usual standard (2 steaks presented one was overcooked and the other undercooked). Over-generous portions and poor presentation.
Everything except mattress!!
Staff Food Location
Bedroom very hot - could do with air-con
Friendly staff. Large comfortable room. Great restuarant.
Staff and service,Location, Food Excellent place to stay
Good clean room but very little in the way of much above the basic holiday inn.
Cost, bathroom old and unfinished décor,

Room was right next to front entrance of hotel and next to main road also it was too hot in the room I got very little sleep Evening meal came with deep fried frozen chip's which left a trail of fat all over my plate would not stay or eat here again
Friendly and very courteous staff
unexpected silence in the room at night
Nice building, good location
More expensive drinks than central London. £9.20 for small wine?? Bar closed at 10.45 even for residents.
Great location - a beautiful and interesting village of which the Cartwright is a major and important part. kind and considerate staff Overall a very good experience
Nice friendly staff, good food and comfortable room.
Warmth; log fire; good menu for supper; helpful staff; spacious bathroom; comfy bed; ease of access to room;
Piped music in bar and dining room; too few comfy seats in the bar;
Location was excellent and was the food. Friendly staff.
Breakfast was dry and over cooked. Lumpy mattress in room 10
We thought the evening meal and breakfast was very good. The staff were extremly helpful and friendly
Staff were fun and friendly, good sense of humour.
