The easy and professional check in and out, spacious comfortable, clean room. Extra towels and cups provided with Z bed, often get overlooked. Breakfast served beautifully in lovely dining room with attentive staff.
Quality of food was very good but a bit over priced.
we spent a night following our wedding previous day. The hotel staff went the extra mile to make our stay really special, with a free upgrade to four poster room, and cocktails with dinner. We also got to meet the chef
Absolutely nothing negative to say
The location, coming from Somerset we were looking for a hotel to spend the night before continuing to Heathrow to leve the car and the country. Old traditional English house Great English breakfast included in the price
Old furniture in the rooms Lack of proper curtains to avoid the early morning light coming in
The surroundings were peaceful excellent breakfast good service well done
General service from the staff was excellent as well as the restaurant food which was absolutely stunning. Also the outdoor bar area is very pleasant on a summer evening.
Dinner was expensive but very good.
Staff were friendly and helpful. Location leafy and secluded. Nice outdoor deck area. Adequate parking.
Bedrooms a bit tired and cramped. Juices had been laid out for breakfast the night before, rather than being kept in the fridge, and had turned.
Small rooms Noise Uncomfortable beds Breakfast
Warm welcome. The staff, all the ones we met were just delightful. A real credit to the hotel.
The room we had was very, very tired. Chipped paint, chipped furniture, mould in the grout of the bathroom tiles, worn out taps, poor shower. That said the towels and linen were spotless and we had a good night´s sleep.
The room was spacious and well-equipped. The restaurant was ideal for an anniversary dinner; not over-priced for the food quality and with cheerful, helpful staff. There was a wedding in progress, but this was cleverly kept away from the ordinary guests, and did not affect our evening.
The decor was initially off-putting; everything seemed beige and rather tired. We felt that a lot could have been done (cheaply) with some bright 'set dressing' such as cushions. Once you got used to it, it was fine - after all, hotels can hardly redecorate annually!
I am afraid it was a dissappointing stay.
Staff and service were poor.
Its over twenty years since Ive stayed at the Casa so I was interested to see how it had changed. My room was small but well equiped, clean and comfortable. The bar menu was a bit limited but I guess that increases trade in the Marco Pierre restaurant. First thoughts were that the MPW menu looked a bit on the expensive side but the food was excellent as was the service from the waitresses and the barman. I often stay at Cadbury house in Bristol that also has a MPW restaurant and the Casa was better by far in both quality and service. In fact all the staff were friendly and polite & I will definitely stay again next time I am in the area on business. Breakfast was good too !
Comfortable bed Great Breakfast Attentive service
No place to park in car park on Saturday evening due to large number of wedding party
the breakfast was nice, so was the dining area and the hotel was close to the venue of the wedding we were attending
Just a standard hotel room, I'm not sure it justified the price tag.
Evening meal and rooms Cosy and comfortable
Only two small things the push button bath plug let the water out and I couldn't fill .. So had shower instead. No morning paper as ordered Otherwise sublime
Comfortable good size room. Location.
Very noisey room, the ceiling / floor above was creaking with every movement of the neighbour, not welcome at 1am!
Lovely personable welcome to both hotel and restaurant. Fabulous food and service in restaurant, very decent breakfast. Bed small but comfortable.
Room and bathrom in need of update. Standard of accommodation lets the side down.
Modern shower-room which needed a few more fittings to make it more guest friendly.
Only lukewarm water in basin/shower TV remote did not work Room looked a bit tired Reception staff not smiling !! No fresh air - could not open ventaxia
Slightly dated room, however quite new modern bathroom, so hopefully it's on a list!
Bathrooms and general decor really tired and no sausages in breakfast buffet however on plus side staff in breakfast really nice and smiley
Staff was professional, friendly, and accommodating. The place has a lot of character, no 2 rooms are alike, but is updated and feels new and clean. The food was excellent also. It was a very relaxing stay!
24 hour check in. Staff were friendly. Breakfast was tasty although it was shut promptly at 10am. We arrived at 9.30 am and the eggs, sausages etc were not replenished.
We arrived to check in at midnight (having spent all day at a wedding) to find the room ridiculously hot. We did find a fan in the room but as I rang ahead and told them we would be arriving late it would have been nice if the windows could have been opened. There were no amenities in the room - shower gel, cap, not even a bottle of water or a pen. The room was tired looking. At £92 for the night i would have expected these small details to be included - I have stayed in hotels in this area for around the same price that also have spa and leisure facilities so the price was disapointing.
Staff were excellent, food was very good and the location was perfect.
Old fashioned, tired and poorly maintained accommodation. Bathroom had mould in shower, with paint peeling off the bathroom. Overall this aspect needs to be brought into the 20th century....
Staff were very friendly and efficient .
I thought the standard of the restaurant food was ok but not great .
