Expecting more sophistication from the restaurant. The Menu, Staff and general ambiance of the dining room was far too "ordinary' considering its connection to Marco Pierre White.

Nice, cozy country-side hotel. Offering a fair stay in relation to the price. Well, the water from the shower could have more " strength".

It was near to our family and we had a breakfast the next day The room we had was worn and dated. The wooden toilet seat in the bathroom was well past it's sell by date and needed changing also the bed was small for us and uncomfortable. We had a one nighter room! we won't be staying there again.

Nice ambience in the bar areas. I was shown the Lunch sandwich menu which looked very good and reasonably priced and then told that it was no longer used. A piece of plain a4 paper showed a very poor selection. I chose a beef sandwich for £8.50 it was probably the worst beef sandwich I have ever had and badly presented. My coleague had a similar experience with his ham sandwich. The bathroom was not clean to the standard I would expect, mould around the bath and the soap dispenser was disgusting.

Location was perfect for visiting relatives over Christmas. Standard of breakfast only adequate although we accept this was over the Christmas period. Dissapointed that a sandwich could not be provided at 8.15pm even though the kitchen was still open.Accepting the fact it was Boxing Night but the kitchen was still open.

The reception staff we're very friendly and helpful. I didn't book a room suitable really for my disabled husband, the young man on the desk took it in his stride and gave us a more suitale room. The room itself was comfortable clean and warm. The windows also open that was a bonus(suprisingly not all hotels do). The only gripe really would be having to unplug lamp to use the hairdryer. We booked on the pricing as we come to guildford several times a year and pricing can be an issue. So we thought good value. The breakfast plates were very cold and my scrambled egg started to congeal before I sat down and the serving spoons were claggy with food, changing the spoon occasionally when they brought out fresh food, easy. The toast wasn't very nice it was thin cheap bread (seems like aldi's)and my mug of tea was served with the tbag still floating in the mug. I personally didn't think the morning staff looked like they we're enjoying the job, whereas the front of house staff did smile and pass the time of day

We thought the service in the restaurant was excellent, attentive but not invasive. The restaurant layout was welcoming and although fairly busy was still quite romantic for our anniversary. Flowers were ordered to be in the room which was not noted although the staff managed to locate some and put them on the restaurant table which was lovely. The room was boring and on booking i would have liked to be given alternative options of more luxury rooms.

The location was convenient for our visit to family. Check-in and check-out was efficient and friendly. Our twin room was quite spacious, as was the bathroom. We only paid £45 for the room and breakfast, so can't expect too much for that price! The furnishings and decor need some tlc and we had one issue with cleanliness of the room. Breakfast was a little disappointing.

the rooms were very spacious, extremely clean and the bed was very comfortable. Location was good for what we needed easy to find. staff weren't very friendly - breakfast staff very brisk. Breakfast was of a very poor standard - limited choice, cooked food was warmish not quite cold but definately not hot. the table we were shown to was wiped over with a cloth, not all cuttlery to hand and tablecloth stained - really disappointing. On checkout the member of staff started to serve us then answered the phone twice once it was for a cancellation (obviously more important than us the paying customer) and generally had a couldn't care less attitude towards us she was very patronising to my elderly mother. All though hotel rooms were lovely not sure I would rush to go back

A little gem, tucked away in the suburbs. The front of house staff were exceptionally helpful and welcoming. The room was clean and well appointed and the public areas have a measure of character. Did not eat on this occasion. I would like to try the restaurant on my next visit.

Good online price. Clean. Friendly staff. Nice atmosphere. Could use a more family friendly, lower priced restaurant option for the evening meal.

Because its convenience for us family lives close by It was not the first time we stayed in the Casa but this time our room was awfull. The carpet was stained very badly and the sink in the bathroom has been filled as a repair instead of changed that is not very hygenic! We hope it was the last time that ohter people complain so there will be changes. We will come back in the end of the year again and hoping we will get a better room

The rooms were nicely proportioned and the staff were very friendly and efficient. Breakfast was excellent and the evening meals were of a very high quality. Having free broadband was excellent and makes a change from other hotels which don't offer this service as it is now considered a utility such as water and electricity to the business traveller. Room 45 is above the kitchen which creates a lot of noise as well as a fan unit which is on until around 11.00 pm. Early morning bin emptying and kitchen start up was noisy. Also the bed in Room 45 needs a new mattress. The free broadband was well received but the connection did drop out quite frequently. The menu in the restaurant was of high quality but could have done with a less expensive bar menu for those who didn't always want fine dining. Every night can be a bit too much.

I found the Reception staff particularly helpful and very quick to respond to a problem I had with the bathroom facility. The room was good value. A self service cooked breakfast is acceptable, however only if the staff explain the system and tell you exactly where to find it. The only issue I had was that the mattress was very uncomfortable - especially compared to the one I had during a previous stay in September.

There was a warm inviting atmosphere in the restaurant, but I was shown to a side room which seemed to be inhabited by slightly well dressed people (I was in an expensive leather jacket and jeans) when I would have preferred to be in the main room, but did not comment. I tried to order a starter from the set menu, with a main course from the a la carte menu, but was told this was not possible...typicial English restaurant rigidity, which was unexpected from this name! Nevertheless, the evening meal was excellent, particularly the calves liver and bacon, the service was attentive, efficient and very friendly. The bedroom was basic, but adequate and the bathroom was rather cold and spartan with no toiletries other than soap dispensers on the wall and the overall impact and affect was opposite to the restaurant. The buffet breakfast was also in contrast to the evening meal; the waitress asked two questions in an accent which was hard to understand coffee or tea, toast white or brown and stated 'the buffet is over there' and that was that! The coffee was tired and only warm, the scrambled eggs on offer from the buffet were dry, solid and going brown but a kind lady hovering said nobody told me and cooked me two fried eggs after the chef had tried again, unsuccessfully with the scrambled eggs. I am not sure if the management is aware of these issues, but again it is not what you would expect from a restaurant with this name! I hope this is a one off because the concept of good value for money rooms and excellent food, like the French is very appealing.

Location (1) The tv in the room I stayed in only had 5 channels!! Not even Freeview (2) English was not the first language of any of the breakfast staff, they were unable to explain the self service provision and really rather unhelpful (3) I did not receive a wakeup call as I requested, in the morning my telephone did not work, and my door would not open in the morning, so I was shut in my room for 30 minutes whilst I shouted for help...I was told that there had been an electrical failure causing the telephone and doors to fail! I was disgusted to find that I was still charged the full rate for the room (4) The bathroom was tired and mouldy in decoration and very off putting. THe carpet and bed sheets were dirty.

Friendly Staff. Bed was too small for two people. Breakfast was a dissapointment, no fresh orange juice, hardly any fruit and the trays serving the hot food were nearly empty and there wasn't much variety.
