Castle Bromwich Hall Hotel

We had the state room which exceeded our expectation. It was very spacious. We were celebrating our wedding anniversary. The dinner and breakfasts were also good.

A minor point. There was nowhere to put toiletries/soap etc when we were in the large bath in the centre of the bathroom. It needed a large soap dish or shelf attached to the bath in some way so it could be reached.

Hotel haf kept a lot of the original features which were beautiful. The bed was sooo comfortable!!

Stayed whilst there was a wedding on but due to the size and layout of the hotel this Meant that as soon as you enterrd the bar area you felt like you were gatecrashing someone's wedding,the weddings are held just off the main entrance area and naturally guests overspill into the bar and public areas.

We liked the caring interest shown by the chap who served our breakfast. Five stars.

We didn't care so much for the bumptious officious little twerp on the reception desk. Zero stars.

Ambience relaxing rooms

Beautiful hotel of the highest standard, will definitely return. Certainly luxurious, and not far from Birmingham so ideal.

Good value for money and good location for our particular needs.

Only one chair in double bedroom, no shower cap, filthy inside wardrobe and wedding dominated hotel so ordinary guests had no facilities on Saturday. TV constantly on in Lounge lowered the tone of a very nice room.

The hotel is a historic building set in a serene environment. The rooms are luxurious and the bathroom is so relaxing I didn't even want to leave for the city (In actual fact we cut our trip short at Drayton Manor so we could jump back into bed!) Definitely my choice hotel for Birmingham, which is accessible easily by car.

There was an issue with the water in the shower on the final day but it was rectified and the inconvenience taken off the bill. Couldn't ask for more when things go wrong.

Great food,staff and rooms

Great historic building with well designed and equipped rooms. Staff very helpful and friendly.

Hotel advertises free wi fi ... there is but it is very slow even for downloading emails.

Our stay was perfect for a young couple, we will be staying again, the surrounding land and gardens were gorgeous, we stayed in march while it was snowing , beautiful, so we will be coming back again to see the scenery in spring/summer, lovingly restored architectural building.

We got a taxi to the hotel, and there was no signage directing us to the hotel until we were at the entrance.

The castle was beautiful. The bedrooms were comfortable. The bed was very comfortable. The grounds and the building were kept very clean and nice.

You walked in and the reception desk was messy and you were not sure if that was the reception desk. The man was filling in for the receptionist and wasn't very professional. Didn't offer us any information about the place or things to do, other than that breakfast was served in the morning in the dining hall and it wasn't included in our stay. Didn't ask to help us with our bags, but there were no elevators and we had to carry them up 3 staircases. The bathroom was ice cold the entire time. It was a very nicely done up washroom, but we were too cold to even shower in it - we left without bathing!!! No one gave us any information regarding the castle, or the grounds or anything. It was a let down!

Relaxed feel, comfort, location, helpful staff, comortable bed. Very nice cosy hotel with a quality feel. Easy parking and access, conveniently locsted for NEC.

No lift a problem getting luggage to upper floors, although staff will help if free.

No facilities in bathroom for disabled people a grab rail in the shower would have been alright, a little attention to dust on the furniture

The state room was amazing and we thoroughly enjoyed our stay we will be returning thank you to all staff

One down side but being picky we had to wait to be asked if we wanted a drink with our meal only after we called one of the staff
