Very friendly/helpful people. Nice bar to relax and eat in. Good location for the hiking I wanted to do.

Okay, the exterior does need a little attention but it doesn't affect your stay.

Outside and our room did not look like any of the pictures and definitely need some updating.

The food was very good but took some time to be prepared. The host was a very hard working person and very attentive

Sadly this old place is very tired and needs a great deal of attention both on the outside and the inside. To start with a good clean at the front door with a broom would help the looks of the entrance. Sadly we have to say that we cannot recommend this facility in it's current condition. It does have old world charm if you also like neglect.

Friendly, helpful staff. Good food and excellent value.

Don't be put off by the look of the Inn- the outside needs some TLC! But inside the decor is fine with interesting art work on the walls.

Quirky 18th? 17th? charming coaching inn. Each room different with different colour schemes. Interesting eclectic modern art as decoration. On-site restaurant was quite satisfactory. Special orders for breakfast were cheerfully provided.

Staff very friendly and helpful. Food of good quality and excellent value for money. Room and bathroom well appointed and very comfortable. A lot of money spent since our last visit several years ago!

Nothing: We went back to somewhere we stayed in several years ago, so we knew we liked it, and all the subsequent changes were improvements.

Our hosts John, Val and Andrew were really nice people and made us feel most welcome. The food was superb and the friendly locals in the bar added to the relaxing ambience. Our room was spacious with a huge modern bathroom. Parking was excellent

The exterior of the inn did not do it justice

The room we had was very nicely appointed with plenty of space, a flat screen TV, a nice bathroom and comfortable bed. We also had tea making facilities. The evening meal was delicious The staff went out of their way to give us an early breakfast.

    Nothing.

    Nothing, really

Didn't like the fact that the 'superior' room we booked was dirty and grubby. Very disappointed as website gave the impression that room would be far more luxurious than it was. Very, very poor value for money

Trecastle is nestled into the Brecon Beacons and an ideal location for relaxing and just taking life at a slow pace. The owner was a lovely man who settled us straight into our room and made us feel very welcome. The room had a seperate lounge area with period features. The bedroom area had everything you would want including extra pillows and a blanket. Although I was sharing with my friend this could had been a romantic get away for two. The food both evening and breakfast was excellent. Evening meals are priced very reasonably and in my opinon could be priced a little higher due to the quailty of the food. A very enjoyable stay we can't wait to go back and take our other friend as this trip she couldn't make. Would like to say a big thank you to the hosts and their staff.
