We liked everything that a hotel has to offer. Will be returning.
In this day and age WiFi was very poor.
Excellent staff, lovely hotel
Room was slightly dated in décor
windows were in poor condition & needed painting and cleaning (bird droppings), chair arms worn through. hanger on bathroom door missing, loo seat loose.
We had a wonderful stay. The receptionist Brian was very friendly and very helpful. We had a lovely room overlooking the road. A large room with an extremely comfortable bed. We had meals in the dining room and they were terrific. The location is great. Wonderful shops and a lovely town with a huge castle. Incredible.
Lovely old hotel very convenient location. Staff very friendly bar and restaurant meals very good nice patio area. Room was a little tired but otherwise great stay.
The decor in the bedrooms and quality of food
Can't speak highly enough about the hotel , it's staff, and the quality of the restaurant. It's not a new building of course but has been maintained to a high standard and my feeling was that everyone wanted the guests to have a great experience. With me it succeeded.
Absolutely minor point but having negotiated the archway into the cap park at the rear I then discover they have a modest sized lot across the road from the hotel which would have been easier to use. But I didn't find out until after I'd got there.
Staff, food & character
When arrived found it would have been considerably cheaper to have booked direct with the hotel due to special Sunday night offer!
The friendly welcome, the helpful, courteous staff, the beautiful building, fabulous rooms, dragon's looking over you while you sleep, and just the all round atmosphere. Wonderful!!
Stairs!! For a person with very limited mobility the fact there is no lift would prevent me ever staying again. Listed buildings can have lifts but maybe this hotel is just too good, in it's opinion, to need one?
Rooms were nice Staff very friendly restaurant Excellent
Very slow to move plate when you have finished eating, sat for 20 mins with dirty plates in fron of us.
Me and my husband visited the hotel for one night to celebrate our anniversary. The hotel is beautiful, in a perfect location and the staff couldn't do enough. We would definitely recommend a visit.
Great postion and the staff always make you feel at ease straight away. We took our dog with us and again everything was catered for. Been to the hotel many times and shall continue to do so.
The service in the resturant was very poor due to low staffing levels. The staff working however were great but just under a lot of pressure. There was also no air conditioning so got rather hot in the room.
The bed was wide enough but not long enough
Our room had a fantastic view of the castle. The room was very spacious and we enjoyed the jacuzzi tub.
We have visited the hotel many times and really enjoy staying there. The food is excellent and the service brilliant. Would return again. Make sure you book a table if you require evening meal and are only bed and breakfast (to avoid disappointment). Great stay.
good interesting food
Loved everything about it ideal location very clean
Staff were excellent Service was good Very comfortable Good food
Cleaner didn't replace toilet tissue, had to ask.
The staff were marvellous, the room was good, very comfortable and the food was superb
had no lift, so heavy suitcases up stairs
Bar area a little small.
Location, service, eccentric decor(in Suite), dining room.
Wifi was a bit patchy
A charming hotel full of character. The staff are very customer centred. The food is very good ,the housekeeping is really exemplory.I find it very hard to fault and I can't wait to return.Conwy is a super base to explore the area and the hotel's position couldn't be better.
The room size was great, the bed was incredibly comfortable, the bathroom was a good size and contained everything we needed.
The bed had a dip in the middle as it was two beds joined together. The bed was also squeaky.
History of the building and conversion. Service and quality of both dinner and breakfast. Comfort of rooms and beds.
