We were given a Premium room, which was located at the front of the hotel, with a small balcony that we could stand out on and admire the view of the main high street and the edge of the Castle. The location (centre of Windsor), the friendliness & helpfulness of the receptionists, the size and style of the room and the added bonus of free parking for hotel guests.

We very much enjoyed our short stay at the Castle Hotel. It is very convenient for visiting the Castle and seeing Windsor. The room was comfortable and facilities good. The staff were all pleasant and helpful and the food was very good although we were not able to have dinner on the second night due to a V.I.P party. We would not hesitate to book here again. J. The location to Windsor really, perfect.. The showers make one hell of a noise, and with ajoining rooms using showers at 05:45am etc when we wanted a lie in was a nusance. The hotel need to re-think the breakfast situation, both mornings we had to queue for nearly 20 mins before we sat down - there were tables available, but they had not been cleared or re-laid. The hotel in our opinion need to have another person to help the stressed out lady clearing and re-laying the tables. Perhaps this situation would then improve. The first breakfast was lacking some hot food, and whilst we were there it was not checked or replaced even though the demand was present. The second breakfast the next day the hotel were on the case - well done..

We left our room for about an hour to get a coffee in a local shop! On returning there were 8 people, who were unknown to us, in our room. There was no introduction or reason given they just left. We reported this to reception but received no appology from management or explanation. Our business is a security company and this fly's in the face of our ethos. But the hotel does print a disclaimer against loss of personal effects which I must warn them will fail in any claim if they did not take reasonable care to secure rooms. Also the hotel is over valued. Cleanliness is cosmetic, what you normally use is clean but the accumilated dust is not welcome. I have never paid £15 for a breakfast meal in my life and do not intend to start now. Because of the lack of enthusiasm and reaction by staff I have informed my directors and senior management that subsistance allowances will not be paid if the source is from any of this hotels group as I consider it not the best way of spending money.

The hotel was well presented and comfortable. The Breakfast staff were very friendly and accommodating. The room was quiet (which I asked for), spacious and comfortable. I would very happily stay again. Although I booked Bed and Breakfast, the reservation stated it was without Breakfast. From the comments of the staff this seems to be rather common. It got sorted out eventually.

The location is excellent, within easy walking distance of the Windsor castle, shopping and restaurants. The hotel is very old, with crooked floors and very beautiful but uncomfortable beds. Car parking is very tight.
