Room 9 is perfect for single guest,charming decor.Excellent large and well appointed bathroom.

The menu in empty and rather uninviting bar area. Didn't want dinner,as such,but menu in bar not appealing.

We stayed with our parents in two rooms. Ours was by far the nicer!! Lovely and large, plenty of wardrobe space, comfy beds, big windows over looking the garden and moat.

The only negative was poor lighting in ours and our parents bathrooms and over dressing table so hard to do make up!

Friendly welcome, excellent room/suite with decanter of sherry, fruit selection, ice already in ice bucket, lovely bathroom, big comfy double bed. Restaurant was perfect, lovely food, good wine selection, comfortable relaxed atmosphere. Bar had a good selection of whiskies. A really satisfactory visit, definitely recommended

Perfect stay in every respect. Couldn't fault a thing. Staff were polite, helpful and efficient. The room was beautiful and equipped with everything we needed and much more

We have stayed twice before and have always been very pleased with our rooms. This time we were in the main house and felt the room was not up to the usual standard. We could hear the television from the room below, the carpet was quite old and stained in places and the side of the bath was shabby and in need of repair.

The hotel was lovely the staff friendly and helpful and would definitely stay again.

Super, traditional hotel... has timelessness about it.. whilst modern, warm and comfortable, has the charm of an establishment in an Agatha Christie novel (thankfully without the drama!). Nice little touches - like a small carafe of sherry with glasses in our room for our afternoon aperitif, real milk in a jug in our fridge... Little touches that make such a difference. We really loved it, and will definitely return. Staff are helpful and friendly... Cooked breakfast was excellent.

The Huntingdon suite was absolutely lovely and I can't wait to bring my husband to stay. As I was on an overnight stay with an old friend it made a rare weekend with an old friend extra special.

Well decorated , clean, comfortable room. Lovely bathroom. I appreciated the little jug of milk in the fridge. Also the sheet as well as duvet, and electric fan. Friendly staff.

Fresh milk in the room fridge - thank you so much!! Pleasant and helpful staff. Location and nearness to the Cathedral as we are not very mobile. Fish at breakfast i.e. haddock was cooked to perfection.

Had to use the lift and there was often a bit of a mess in that area on the ground floor. Understandable but detracting from what was otherwise pretty overall good.

Location is great. The hotel is comfortable and clean. Modern rooms. Free parking. Excellent gardens.

Very weak wifi, almost non-existent. The room was on the 2nd floor in a separate building, may not suit some people with no lift and lots of stairs to climb. I come to Hereford for business regularly and have stayed in most of its B&Bs and hotels. This one is good but a bit too expensive. A few B&Bs around are similarly good with more variable and better breakfast and are cheaper. Again the restaurant is good but expensive, there are a few excellent restaurants in the city just walking distance from the hotel. Location however, is the best, just next to the cathedral and shopping area.

Very friendly but professional and efficient staff

Excellent position and staff. All the extras such as fruit were much appreciated.

I would have prefered better lighting. Also the chairs looked nice but weren't very comfortable and it seemed silly to place the writing desk so close to the window that it couldn't be used as the tie back anchor prevented the flap being opened.

Professional, friendly and attentive staff from the reception when we arrived through to the cleaning and maintenance staff and the restaurant and bar staff. First class in all regards
