Helpful friendly staff. Room comfortable. Nice meal in the restaurant.
Pity about the breakfast the sausage was cold, black pudding burnt and fresh mushroom tasted of garlic. However, this wouldn't stop me from staying here again, I would make a different choice.
Fantastic location, very comfortable bed Probably the quietest hotel (in terms of guest noise ) I have ever stayed in
Nothing, all good
A lovely hotel in a great location. Breakfast was good and the coffee great so much so that we bought some from local stockist to take home! We stayed in one of the executive rooms which was a very modern decor. Staff were really friendly and attentive. Would stay again and recommend to friends.
Found the bed too hard and one of the pillow cases had an awful smell though looked clean which was strange. Taps in bathroom wouldn't stay on but we reported this so hopefully that will get fixed. Staff were very apologetic. Overall though a lovely stay in a greay hotel.
Friendly staff and excellent location within Lincoln. Room was comfortable.
Car parking was a slight problem in the outside rooms as due to the size of the car park you walk out of the room and have to squeeze down the side of someone's car to get out. I would add that this isn't necessarily a fault of the hotel, but something one should be aware of.
Very comfortable and well presented room and facilities
Great location and comfort. Stylish. V good breakfast
Mould/gaps in some tiles around bath
Could include simple breakfast items e.g. Spread, jam as there is a toaster. You'd expect these things to be there at an apartment like stay. Also wifi not working.
from arriving at the castle the staff are friendly and helpful. The food is amazing,we had evening meal and breakfast both where outstanding to fine detail. Great location. I managed to park my nissan navara with no problem.
Twin room was provided when double was booked Single beds were too small with no ability to sleep well A disabled only bathroom was provided No ability to wash and shave Parking was cramped and unable to access car
WIFI weak signal almost not able to connect. Work space in the room not adequat for business traveler
Breakfast was superb! Had the suite on the top floor - very nice with plenty of space and great bathroom with twin sinks etc. Very friendly staff and highly recommend this hotel to anyone for either business or pleasure
location friendly and helpful staff stylish breakfast options quick check in and check out
Accommodation Staff Breakfast Dinner
No Lock on Shared Bathroom Door No Wifi Dishwasher Missing?.......I'm sure this is being addressed and we did not need it anyway as we ate in their excellent restaurant!!!
Linens, decor, staff attitude
There was some minor signs of wear inthe room.
The food here is lovely, we had dinner and it was really nice. As was the breakfast! Hotel has been refurbished to a lovely standard and its clean and nice location for exploring the city. Parking is very handy but tight if you have a big car, we went in a mini and it was tight for us!!
The rooms where a bit on the noisy side, we were woken up by our neighbours talking, they were not loud you could just hear everything through the walls, and when they went to the bathroom in the night the extractor woke us up too! Would also be considerate to put something on the doors to stop them slamming, it was really bothersome to be woken by people returning to their rooms at 3am with banging doors. Sadly we did not get much sleep here even though the beds were super comfy!
Friendly hard working staff
We loved this hotel, situated right by the castle and cathedral. Our room was beautiful ,very clean and well equipped.Beds extremely comfortable, and our dinner was excellent. All the staff we met were very efficient and friendly. Would most definitely recommend the castle hotel to anyone.
Found no faults at all
Pretty good all round would defo use again
Cutlery was very stylish.. But tricky to eat with ;-)
Breakfast hot and well cooked, staff friendly and helpful.
Emergency exit light on all night irritating.
Location of hotel was excellent. Room was beautiful and comfortable.
Cooked breakfast was average in taste. It seemed to have been kept warm rather then freshly cooked. Although the room was lovely, we could hear the room next doors occupants. Unfortunately, 2 very chatty ladies !
Nothing to dislike about the hotel
Bells starting at 7am but this is outside hotels control
Room was clean and tidy, bed was comfortable
I don't think the room was worth what we paid, the hotel is in a good location for the old town but has no facilities.
We liked everything! Room was lovely with view over the cathedral, bathroom was minimalist but immaculate, dinner was exceptional, and breakfast was excellent. The overall package of DBB was excellent value. I will definitely recommend to others and hope to find a reason to come back again soon!
If I have to find something, it would be too much hollandaise sauce on eggs benedict (and a bit too bitter).
Parking, we had to pay a total of £9.50 to stay in car park opposite. There were a couple of spaces in the hotel car park but it was impossible to get into them. It would have been a nice gesture if the hotel had offered to pay our parking charges.
The village environ The walk to the city centre
The dirty environ because we were checked in into the hotel annex, going into the room was a nightmare, the shower had moulds, strong smell oozing from somewhere, cobwebs right behind the bed head rest. I called the lady on duty to witness it, although she tried to patronise us, we were eventually moved into another room and then moved again the second day. On receiving my bill, i discovered we were charged for the newspaper yet it was posed to us as if it was complimentary, trying to resolve that and another charge. most disappointed.
