Great welcome. The room had little extras like complimentary sherry, sweets and robes. Lovely fluffy bath sheets. The breakfast was amazing. I had Eggs Benedict and porridge that was served with cream, honey and brown sugar. Everything presented beautifully. I wish we'd stayed longer.
Great room, we had the Mariner Suite with a four-poster bed. Breakfast was excellent, lots of choice. The owner was so helpful, even offering to run us to a local pub on Sunday night when the restaurant is closed. We ate in the restaurant one night and food was lovely. We would definitely visit again.
Hard to think of anything we didn't like, except maybe the spider who was keen to share our room! And who could blame him...
Everything was great. The room was lovely with excellent facilities. Very clean and well kept. The bed was very comfy too. The staff were lovely and nothing was too much trouble. All completed with a delicious breakfast. We'll definitely be going back
Only minor problem was we had no signal on our phones at all but didn't bother us too much. The wifi didn't really reach in our room but it was nice to have total peace and quiet!
Nice food Comfortable room Swimming pool
I couldn't give full marks for sleep due to the telly in another room which was blaring 'til 11:30 when I gave up and went down to reception - in fairness they were very apologetic and sorted it out instantly, so full marks and more for customer service!
Lovely breakfast Friendly staff
Everything, lovely stay
Excellent service. The hosts were so helpful and kind.
Room immaculate and spotless Very comfortable with nice touches Bar and public areas roomy and comfortable Grounds are just fantastic with lots of views over to Wales Food great
Would just be picky to say anything negative.
The grounds, the peacefulness, the excellent food and service and especially breakfast which we were very late for in fact nearly lunch where most hotels had packed away or observe a strict cut off time the manageress I dusted on cooking us a hot breakfast still which was amazing- simply the best place I've stayed ever in the uk
Great house, lovely 4 acres of garden. Warm welcome ,t & cakes.Rooms fit for purpose , ensuite clean and tidy. T& coffee making facilities first class.
Breakfast staff a bit forgetful. Brought our orange juice to wrong table. meal arrived and forgot toast. only little things but irritating
Owner drove us to our evening destination. On our return opened the bar and left us to serve ourselves on an honesty basis - so rare these days ..
Nothing - they had thought of everything
Little oasis of rest, next to the forest, with a beautiful garden and swimming pool. Cosy lounge bar, award winning breakfast and similar dinner facilities. Nice comfortable room.
Poor wifi and mobile reception.

Staying for a nearby wedding, Carol and her staff couldn't have been more helpful, not only providing a delicious lunch on our arrival but also offering a lift to the wedding. Would happily recommend and/or return
The hotel and gardens were wonderful. Carol and Julie were very friendly and made our stay very enjoyable. The breakfast was first class. I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for accommodation in the area.
The breakfast, the room and the lift to the village.
Always a good welcome and excellent meals. Carol has invested quite as lot in extending the property and the garden and pool area.
The friendliness of staff, the actual old building the gardens ,the food all were great
Wonderful reception and a super place to stay wether overnight or a longer visit .Attention to detail is obviously a priority and it shows, nothing was missed or too much trouble .Extremely comfortable rooms and the best tea tray I have seen yet ! The menus offered a good selection and the food and service were superb .
