Score from 94 reviews Good
I loved that I was near the train station and I could hear them go past! I like trains. :) Plus I arrived by train. I loved the value for money, I liked that there was minimal interaction with other humans, and I loved the fact that there was a microwave and a fridge.
The bed was entirely springs. Last time I slept on a mattress like that I got bruises on my hips and back, so this time I had to sleep on a pillow and stay balanced on it all night. (298a, Room 4, the bed closer to the door.) The wifi strength was not great, but it was acceptable.
Very clean lovely place great value for money
Heavy doors so alot of slamming doors
Good value for money, facilities were clean and tidy, plenty of washrooms so didn't have to wait too long. Good wi-fi reception and reasonable size television. Car park at the rear was a decent size abd didn't have any problem parking there each night.
The only complaint we had is that the bed was a bit uncomfortable, some of the brackets that hold the mattress up had been snapped by a previous occupant meaning the bed was uneven. Causing a nights sleep to be difficult
just two share washroom
lovely clean bathrooms
would like a chair in the room as I was spilling my food all over the bed
Has the name implys it was quite central to Cheltenham, which made thing easy and it was Fairly clean.
One side of the room which was where the bed was did not have any wifi reception. Better signal will rectify that I think. I forgot my wallet which I remember vividly placing on the sofa but the cleaner said it wasn't there when I called to say I can't find it. I guess it's my fault for forgetting my wallet however I can't help feeling very hard done by.
Shower rooms smelly
Refrigerator and microwave in the room
The carpet was dirty. It had some sticky substance on it which was difficult to remove from both my shoes and my bare feet so, could do with a good clean. The room is not soundproof and I could hear nearly every door being opened and closed.
On the additional information section of the booking i requested disabled access for my elderly mother who is registered disabled. We were given an upstairs room not resembling what we were led to believe we had booked and the only access was up some dark, steep, outside fire escape stairs. Never saw any staff and the beds were too low for a disabled person to use let alone the extremely prominent bed springs, and clearly visibly used bed linen.
walls paper thin - could hear everything. shower hot and cold.
Good parking with rear entrance to apt'. Sufficient kitchen area and warm. Showers /loos exellent.
Only one thing that I feel must be improved are the mattresses to the beds in room 3. The bed is the most important factor in any apt' and one does not want to feel the springs on the body. Otherwise every thing else was good.
close to where i needed to be parking cute set up TV kitchen
fridge in room a bit noisy it did feel a bit strange not knowing who was in the building and yet sharing a bathroom, although i think the night i stayed no-one else was there. I've stayed alone in a lot of places but for some reason felt slightly vulnerable there but i would stay again.
The room inside was great. Small, clean and compact. As two single girls we felt quite safe once inside. However, while waiting outside to check in (the building is unmanned, so you have to wait for a text with a code and your room details to come through) we had been a little nervous about the state of the room - the outside looks very rundown! But once inside it was nice and the rooms were well furnished. Considering what we paid for it, it was really good!
Having to wait to get the code for the building. Message was due to arrive at 14.00 but came through late (we did have it by about 14.20, but we had to be somewhere for 15.00 so there was a bit of panic). Nowhere to really wait while you wait for the code to be able to get in. Fine if it's nice weather (as we had) but I imagine it would not be good in the rain. One of the communal showers/toilets was blocked.
Pictures showed false description..no sofa and bed was no more comfortable than a camping bed. Unhelpful staff on the phone no provided. Not suitable for relaxing stay more a commute stop.
Good location, loads of parking. Codes to the studios gives max security. Shared showers/loos clean and tidy. Bed comfortable. Lovely to have fridge and microwave whilst away from home.
It was very clean and well presented, close to the centre of town and other facilities, it was a nice touch that they provided everything you need from a kitchen!
We only had one little quibble, the shower was very temperamental, for all five of us, it was constantly turning from freezing to cold and back again, no matter what you did with the temperature gage! It's something that should really be looked at because other than that, our stay was perfect!
This hotel works with no front desk at all. Once you booked on line, you get an e-mail on the day of stay from a company telling you will get an SMS at 2pm with a front door code and another code to a box where your key is. But this does not work if you have a mobile phone out of the UK !!! I received nothing and told to one resident who told me she heard the story so many times, that foreigners do not get the codes and therefore can NOT access their room. So, you pay but you're stuck on the street ! This is totally unacceptable!
Bathrooms were nice, room set up was good. Kitchen facilities great. Has potential to be a really great facility.
Over all was OK, but a couple of things that need fixing. Other rooms might have been OK. One mattress in the room had the springs poking through it, had to sleep on top of the cover to not feel them. The slats on the base of the other bed fell out if you sat or lay at the wrong angle, I ended up on the floor a couple of times. There was water leaking from the bathroom somewhere, and the hallway smelt musty, there were mushrooms actually growing through the carpet. Thankfully this didn't come into the rooms. A few small adjustments and it would be a great place. (maybe other rooms had better beds)
The shared bathroom had a good shower
We expected to be able to eat breakfast or takeaways in the appartment. There was cutlery and plates but no chairs or table. One would have to sit on the bed to eat. We felt cheated.
Location too far from centre. Was more like half way house than hotel. Far too expensive. Surprised you are actually advertising this accommodation on your site.
The beds were really comfortable
For the money won't beat it in cheltenham
The sofa bed was very uncomfortable. Plus the shower didn't work at all in our room. I paid for the room then was informed we had to share toilet facilities with other residences.
Cheap. Was able to change rooms on arrival. Did what it said on the tin.
Could have done with an easy chair in the room
Centrality, helpful staff, fridge in room, good shower, comfy bed, clean
