the staff I had a fall and the staff could not have been more attentive thank you all food is good ADA Stockton
The mattress on our bed was very worn and could do with a renewal.
Staff were very friendly and helpful. Food was good. Room was good.
Not very much
The staff were rude The noise from the function downstairs was terrible
Accommodation in separate in cottages
Stayed here before and have always enjoyed our stay, we would recommend upgrading to a club room for £10 as you get a lot bigger room with a bath.
Location as there is a busy road with none stop traffic next to it
Friendly helpful accommodating Staff Good size rooms Plenty off road parking
Rooms getting a little tired
WiFi signal a bit low in the cottages.
We were refused a drink in the main bar next to the dining room on the first evening as the staff told us they had a private function that evening. It was a Boogie night
We liked the friendliness of the staff, the room was excellent, the food available in the bar of wonderful quality and quantity, the real ale and choice of whiskies the best I've seen and the prices so so reasonable compared to down south.
We found nothing dislikeable

Friendly hotel staff
Room was badly dated
Hotel part was nice as was breakfast. We stayed in a separate building in the hotel grounds. Floor was squeaky and you could hear the next door guests talking.
Couldn't get WiFi in our room.
well worth the money friendly staff. good location for visiting family. food was very good. will be back again soon. many thanks.
Large room, loads of hot water at all times, clean towels. Reasonable outlook, great food good value, very friendly and helpful staff
Only a standard size bed in a 'Club' Room, would have preferred a 5 foot bed at least
The very good shower /bathroom and comfortable beds. meal in the evening: a real dressing on the salad, good steak pie and comfortable evening meal although we were the only guests: my daughter (35) and myself with no rush to see us out. To hear a donkey braying in the evening and again early in the morning.
The white mother's pride bread as toast for breakfast. Taxi told us how to get back on our course walking the canal from Edinburgh to Glasgow, info confirmed by staff, but it would be good if you had some map showing how to get back to the canal with timing for reaching it from hotel..
We had a nice room away from the hotel but had the use of the very nice Poachers bar and the lovely restaurant, which we enjoyed a full traditional breakfast each morning. The hotel is situated in a great location within easy reach of Glasgow, Edinburgh and Stirling with lots of things to see and do. Would visit again.
had a fantastic New Year party, the staff are so friendly, nothing is too much trouble, will be booking for next New Year, the food is all home cooked too
