After a long journey from Devon this was the perfect stop over before onward travelling. We had a great meal in the Poachers Bar.
Incredible value for money. Full marks for every aspect of my stay, and I will definitely recommend the hotel to friends travelling in the area.
Nothing other than the weather!
Cosy bar, lovely food, comfortable bed. Stayed many times and always enjoy our stay.
Toilets in poachers lounge need an overhaul
Perfect location for us travelling into Glasgow for the morning. Slept well, good breakfast.
Very Nice and big rooms, warm and clean and the shower was great, staff are very friendly.
Couldn't really connect to wifi in the room I was in and when it did connect it was extremely slow/unusable also no phone signal so couldn't send emails etc
We use this hotel quote often. Staff are lovely and very helpful. Food is good and location for us is brilliant
Spacious room in annexe, motel style, so car parked by room. Good steak dinner in restaurant and decent breakfast. Group has 3 rooms next to each other.
Bar was rather depressing pub style.
Home from home
Uncomfortable. Description states "boasts wifi" but it's only available in the main building. It seems to be a cheap stop for workers, so don't bother if you're looking for a short break.
Good restaurant choices. Excellent food, well presented. Pleasant and helpful staff. Good parking.
Friendly staff Open & welcoming reception area Clean, quiet room with comfortable bed.
Room lighting not good enough to read by. No ceiling lights over bed, which would be OK if bedside lights were good but although nice, the bedside lighting was too low. Worst of all though - cool to luke warm shower first thing in the morning! I ran the shower for over 5 mins but it never got near anything you could describe as hot. Just not good enough in any hotel/motel especially for an overnight stay breaking up an extremely long two day drive.
The rooms, the food, the staff and the cost.
Everything was fine for the price, breakfast was great hotel was clean, staff were friendly
The bed, very small and very hard
lovely comfortable room great set out Staff really friendly great facility's
Our twin bedded room was very nicely designed. The breakfast was served by a very nice staff member and was well cooked with a good choice available.
Receptionist was rather brusque.....and seemed offended that we were placed in a room which would not normally accomodate pets..we were told very quickly that we would have to be charged.Suggested we should have contacted the hotel first before booking!! Cleanliness in all areas could be better.Dirty edges etc.Plenty of old dust and debris in corners. Bar area needs fabric/seating to be deep cleaned!!
Bed uncomfortable , very old mattress I think!!
Warm comfortable great for a woman travelling alone on business!
The man at reception was friendly . The woman called Mary was abrupt and brusque and may need some customer care/ service training !
Lovely hotel and nice friendly pub attached, spacious rooms and good food
Lovely breakfast, made to feel welcome
Staff, food and location
We always try and use thi shotel when we are in the area. Lovely ambience and staff. Food is good
Close location to near by wedding venue Reasonable price Clean
No room service Room outside main hotel Service wasn't great- got called to make sure we were leaving the room
Excellent hotel for a 1 night stop to break a long journey to the Highlands.Comfortable clean rooms with excellent breakfast, nice bar area with good food at reasonable prices.
We were visiting relatives in Cumbernauld so it was just a short journey to visit them and we have stayed here twice before.
On coming down for breakfast at 9.30am on the Monday, the restaurant staff were very surly and the chef even came out of the kitchen and shook her head at us. We felt as though we were being a nuisance and were being rushed. But I must add that the reception staff were very friendly and helpful.
Easy access, spacious rooms and helpful staff.
