noisy room next to corridor fire door.
Central location and felt safe walking in that area
Would have liked some information on check in as to what time breakfast was, spa and pool times, parking arrangements etc. we were just given a key and not even given directions to the room.
Good location, comfortable room, reasonable price, friendly staff
Breakfast - not much choice and not good quality
They sent me details of the gym timetable I requested a week before I arrived. Enjoyed the gym and swimming pool. Went for a run along the canal in the morning..wonderful, lots of people about so didn't feel isolated. Enjoyed a relaxed meal in the bar/restaurant a pleasant relaxed atmosphere.
house keeping forgot to replenish the tea one day but that was quickly rectified.
Asked for quiet room away from bar noise, given a room right above bar. Window catch was broken
Really enjoyed our stay, good food and location. Staff were also really helpful. Would definitely stay again
The curtains were badly fitting in the room, had half the rings missing and the street lights shine into the room! Shower head didn't work and was told maint would fix first thing, which could mean people in our room early morning which we didn't fancy, made us think had the cleaners never noticed this didn't work ? Shame because just little things
Comfortable, welcoming hotel, not a bad distance from everything around it, staff seemed nice and friendly, very safe. All in all not a bad stay, would recommend especially if reason for visit is theatre-related as near to the theatres.
Difficult to find if you're coming from the coach station and have never stayed there before, bedsheets a little rough. Pump action soap would be a little more hygienic than bars of soap.
Optional free gym
just off the main shopping street
Staff very informed, friendly, helpful and efficient. Good location, just off Deansgate. Very big fitness suite and good pool. Food good. Excellent value and well prepared and presented. OK breakfast, though they made super porridge when I asked!
Somewhat "used" and the "restaurant" is reallyWindows in the hotel bedroom are dhowing their age and just a pool bar with 2 TV's on the wall. Noisy in the evening if there's a game on that you don't want to watch. Bedrooms large. But lighting is inflexible and either too harsh or too dim. Windows double-glazed but showing age and let in noise and draught. Room TV signal broke up and Sky not available tho' shown in Hotel Guide as available. No radio.
Lovely location, short walk into Deansgate, plenty of places/varied selection to eat and drink nearby. Seemed well appointed though we didn't spend much time in the hotel.
We had a few niggles which didn't spoil our stay. We paid £130 which is crazy for one night. Seemed to be profiteering with the Christmas markets though so did all the other hotels we checked. Plan/book early or pay a premium.
The staff were very friendly and helpful. I would stay again.
Think the hotel is in need of up dating. The bathrooms were clean but poor decor and very slow shower. The seating are in the foyer is very worn and old. Breakfast was OK and again the staff very friendly. Didn't use the leisure facilities so can't comment on those.
Wasn't fond of the scrambled eggs for breakfast. They had been left too long
the location was great and they have a free bus to take you all over town and you just pop on bus and off where ever you like
Rooms clean, beds comfortable. very good help yourself breakfast.would stay again.
The charging of £10 for parking overnight.most hotels free.
Fab location, clean and comfortable rooms and staff very friends and helpful
loads of cafes and restaurants close to hand, also a cinema, useful free shuttle bus, near to tram and rail terminus. Pleasant staff, no nonsense great value.
fairly thin walls, so woken quite early by people having long telephone calls.
The staff are friendly and efficient, the hotel is ideally situated for the Museum of Science and Industry, and for many good restaurants at the Deansgate end of Manchester.
The fact the gym and swimming pool are available. The staff were very polite and friendly and helpful.
parking. The car park is far, far too small given it is used by outside gym users as well
We all thought the staff were very helpful, nothing was to much trouble for them. It was nice to be served by people who had a smile on their face.
The staff was prompt and helpful. There was a bar and restaurant on premises. Room had plenty of space with great bathroom.
Breakfast does not start till 7 AM. Room facing street could hear cars with window closed, fortunately road currently block so noise reduced after rush hour.
Staff Location (close from Manchester Central conference center, with a few restaurants and pubs nearby) Access to a real gym (not mini gym like in most hotels)
A bit loud (noise from outside)
Location for the Coronation Street Tour was good for us with young children. The food was good value for money and enjoyable including the breakfast. The staff were extremely helpful and polite, credit to the hotel.
enjoyable reasonable really good
