Bed wasn't comfortable
Good location and value for money
room was very warm and couldn't leave window open because of traffic noise.
The room was a nice size and very comfortable
The only negative was the lighting in the room wasnt very good. There was no main light and no lighting at the dressing table, so my wife had to put makeup on in the bathroom.
Warm welcome from all staff. Hotel was clean and location was excellent as had booked the Coronation Street tour for my 70 year old mother and this was within walking distance. We ate in the hotel and the service and food was good. Range of buffet breakfast was good and plentiful.
Only a slight negative but wouldn't put me off coming back or recommending to others, but room was very warm and we couldn't regulate this ourselves in the room.
Good location, it was close to where we wanted to be. Ideal for canal lovers and shoppers.
Rooms tired looking. Lighting terrible, some of the lights didn't work. Didn't find the shaver socket and light switch for bathroom mirror until the morning. Car Park a little cramped. Had to unplug another appliance to use kettle. Had to keep windows closed because of traffic noise.
Kind helpful staff, very convenient and attractive location, reasonably quiet.
Cheap mattress and pillows, cheap mattress protector and linen that came untucked. I just got a lousy night's sleep two nights running.....
Linked with a leisure centre is always beneficial
Interior could do with some modernising.
Room clean and tidy with lift access to all floors. We had a small problem but this was quickly put right. Staff very helpful.
Having to make my own tea and toast at breakfast. Self service for main meal is OK but would have been nice to have a waitress bring a pot (not a mug) of tea or coffee and fresh toast. Other than that it was OK
They quickly changed my room after I complained.
I arrived at around 6pm and found that my room had not been cleaned since the last people were in it - towels, wine glasses and bottles were scattered around a the bed was unmade. There was an additional fee for using the car park too.
The staff were extremely helpful and friendly. The room was lovely and clean and spacious. We had a lovely stay. Rebecca Jones
Breakfast. Morning staff were very pleasant. A follow-up email was received inviting me to contact the manager direct next time I want to consider staying there. Much appreciated.
Room was very dated & extremely basic. Furniture was as old as the hills, room smelled a little & bed was like sleeping on a giant pillow. Worst of all was the noise from the patio outside reception where kids were playing football and shouting until after 11pm. Evening staff did nothing about it. Thought I was getting a good deal with a discounted price via booking.com but never have I felt so misled & let down. Finally, it was not easy to find in the night-time - possibly a good point! Very disappointing!
Staff excellent ,really helpful ,I mentioned to the receptionist on arriving that I had a problem with my foot ,and she offered to change my room to a walk -in Shower . Made a huge difference . Staff in the Restaurant very pleasant and also room service very good and attention to detail .. I would definitely return to this Hotel . Many Thanks
Friendly helpful staff
There was a party on in a reception room but the guests seemed to carry the party on all night banging doors & talking/shouting all night. It finally went quiet about 8am. The room was very basic with dated furniture & scruffy towels/bedding.
Views of the canal basin and MOSI where my daughter was getting married. Comfort and convenience. I could nip back for a cup of tea before the evening reception. Comfy bed and pillows. Plenty of beverages and the brand o coffee was well chosen.
The shower. Had just had my hair done and found it difficult to use. Sheets a bit crumpled but who cares about that!
Location and friendly helpful staff. Can't say much more because we didn't use any of the facilities etc our room.
Room a bit smelly not sure if it was damp from bathroom or some one had been smoking in there. Windows were wide open when we arrived which implies cleaners were aware of it. Reported it to reception.
Great location near Deansgate station. Reception staff were very friendly & courteous. We had a lovely room on third floor overlooking part of the canal.
Room doors are a little thin and so we could hear very early risers banging doors & having conversations on the landing.
Ideal location at the centre of manchester ...very friendly and helpful staff ...comfortable and clean rooms
Really charming staff. Quite well placed in Manchester. Access to pleasant Y Health centre with warm pool.
Double glazing in bedrooms not very effective
good location, adequate breakfast, nice and fairly large room
noice from the street
Booked as a birthday treat as holiday fell through was looking really forward to a break not too far from home. Next day breakfast was ok. Buffet plus cooked to order which was a nice surprise.
Location is ok but about 10-15 mins walk from nearest bus stop. A walk into town would take about the same amount of time. As soon as I entered room saw bright Maom packet on floor, not sure how it had managed to go unnoticed. Bathroom had multiple hairs and bath/shower had black dirt in corners. I had booked a room with king size bed which boasted a 6ft mattress. To our surprise we had two single mattresses zipped together. (This got extremely uncomfortable at night as there was a noticeable dip.) Buffet was meh, flies hovering over fruit and nuts, glasses not the cleanest and I had to wipe smudges off my cutlery. Cooked breakfast was average. The scrambled egg had grey patches (understandable with the vast amount of eggs needed but could have been removed before service) Returned to our room and noticed it had been "cleaned". I say this as the bed was hardly spread and bathroom not even so much as wiped down. What we did notice was a pungent flowery scent lurking in the air, probably to deter away from the lack of cleanliness. Went out and returned later that evening. When I went to use my towel a huge spider fell out of it. Considering my phobia I was not best pleased. My partner caught it and left it on the side but I thought it ridiculous that a hotel of this so called standard could have a spider of that size. Especially since if they had been cleaning to the acceptable standards and were more attentive, they would have noticed webs etc. All in all I was fairly disappointed as last year I stayed at the Radisson Blu in town which was only £8 more per night and of an obviously excellent quality.
Very convenient for Coronation street tour, Hilton Skybar and MOSI. Very helpful staff.
No fried eggs and tinned mushrooms were a disappointment a breakfast.
Good location , friendly staff , good breakfast and overall good value for money .
room a little bit tired but clean and everything worked .
I liked everything about this hotel and wished I had booked another night. Iwill defineatly stay r there again
